Kulgor winces in social pain as he realizes the gravity of his words. With two outstretched finger is lightly touches the top of her forearm and channels minor healing magic into her body. It won't do much, but it should at least dull the blade.
"I am sorry, for your loss but I am here for you. Take as much time as needed. I am still young to this world, so everything is new and exciting. I'll be here if you need me."
His eyes flickered as the golden rings inside warped and shifted as he worked his magic. He sat there in silence channeling his magic for as long as she needed the stillness of quiet.

The feeling of light entering her body would tug at the old mother's consciousness, beckon her to avert her gaze from the abyss of grief and return to the present reality. As she came to once more, the moist, chilly sensation on her face would inform her of the tears that had been flowing down her weary eyes, and the words that had been spoken by her current companion would play back once more with vague clarity. Taking out a beautifully embroidered silk handkerchief from her pouch, one disconcertingly out of place with the rest of her person, she would wipe away at her tears with pragmatic efficiency so as to keep the precious gift as intact as possible while respecting its purpose. She then turned her head towards Kulgor, taking note of the continuously shifting rings in his eyes before she spoke the following:- "I am sorry you had to bear witness to that." Ambika wished she could be stronger, but perhaps it was quite simply never meant to be. Or perhaps she had long wasted away all of her emotional strength to survive her sordid past. The most she could do now was not explode at others for mistakes they did not intend, and be careful to avoid her trauma triggers. A likely impossible task for a person travelling on the regular, as was just proven yet again today.
"What was your mother like?" The woman was curious now if the two were similar enough for such words to have unwittingly escaped the druid's lips.

Kulgor smiles yet it does feel slightly force.
"Ah yes my mother, I suppose like any other in many ways. Always trying to make sure I was safe and protected. Trying to feed me things I hated as a kid. She always tried to warn me about the dangers of the world. Sadly, it seems I didn't listen. She told me about fey when I was young. Said that if I didn't behave, they would come in the night and steal me away. Only to replace me with a changeling one that would be a better child if I wasn't careful. I didn't listen I fell the dryad's charm hook, line, and sinker. I doubt any fey replaced me. I imagen she died heartbroken about never seeing me again or knowing what happened. Little did I know those fey years in the wilds would stretch into hundreds in the material world. Perhaps my siblings were able to comfort her in her loss. At least that is what I am going to think happen. Having been more than 200 years that is all long gone now."
He sighs but overall, he speaks about the topic with a relatively calm head considering the circumstances.
"It seems the wilds took more than time from me. I still fell the loss, but everything now is... different it is like I see the world as a child would. A child with the wisdom of ages. Like I can feel the pulse of the world throbbing under my feet. As such I have come to know everything is an interconnected cycle. And in many ways death is simply a new begging."

'Always trying to make sure I was safe and protected. Trying to feed me things I hated as a kid. She always tried to warn me about the dangers of the world.' Standard fare for a mother, Ambika supposed. Though of course, both she and Florentio made sure to teach them self-defense as early as they could, how people might try to fool, swindle, bamboozle them, and... speak of any possible enemies the parents might have. Oh, and the sensitive mother made damned sure all of them could sing pitch perfect since they were children - their father was absolutely atrocious when it came to singing (funny, considering that he had infinitely better diction and spontaneity when it came to tailoring words for his needs) and she absolutely did not want a second discordant factor. Then came the talk about loss. Dying without ever knowing what happened was horrifying in its own way, and she... still did not know where her dead family's souls were, nor the whereabouts of her remaining son. "I am sorry for all of you, even if you are the only one who can hear these words now." A tragedy was a tragedy, and every party deserved her condolences in her view.
A thought would be spared towards how her family might have responded to the mother's death had circumstances been different. Florentio was a former acolyte of the Temple of the Sun, and that was why he had to die first- Huh? Cordelia was killed first, and Florentio almost immediately after, then Semaini, and... There was some underlying thread stuck under the weight of repression, and it would remain undisturbed once more as reality beckoned her return. "A child in tune with the world. A path I would likely never understand, but the path is yours." Ambika had once run a thought experiment about the lows she was willing to sink into if it meant getting her family back, and the main factor that really stopped her from pursuing that train of thought was the idea of defiling her family. That she could not ever abide no matter the cost, and it was why she let the grief take her. "Do you intend on finding out what happened to your family?"
