The sandy deserts with its blistering sunshine never felt much like home to Ambika no matter her age. Not when she was a child, not when she left home for good, not when she was here for whatever bloody job she was assigned, not when she finally returned to her hometown in 40 years, and not even now. She would sooner call the labyrinthine districts of Sol City home than the grainy expanse she was overlooking as she made her way to The Oasis, continuing her possibly futile search for her remaining son.

The Oasis was probably the lushest place in the entire desert, what with the largest lake for miles upon miles amidst the endless sand providing the best environment for greenery and as such, was one of the most vibrant locations in all of Zeinav with the other colours provided by the myriad merchandise and people of all walks of life coming here for one reason on another.

The greedy eyes and sticky fingers most certainly did not escape the old soul's attention either, not that it was anything new to her. Her hometown practically allowed for anything so long as it did not entail murder when it came to thievery. Perpetual training to ensure the future generations can survive the outside world no matter the cost. Ambika loathed how unironically effective their harsh lessons were. After all, she still stood to this day despite all the deadly scenarios she was in, whether it be in her past, or even now.

Description: Charon has experienced a wide array of conflict and difficulty over the last three years, with worldwide crisis popping up every few months. The need for strong, brave heroes has rapidly been increasing and the Crown is starting to feel the strain, as military groups are being stretched thin. Capable heroes, adventurers and guild members are being asked to help train a newer generation to help combat the problems that plague the nation. Help by teaching another, be it how to use a weapon and fight, how to cast powerful spells, or how to quietly navigate a dangerous area. Maybe you yourself are the one getting trained, hoping to step up and help defend Charon! No matter the skill set, it will only benefit the land to have more able bodied heroes!

The water was calm, looking over the lake is was a beautiful site in the area known as The oasis. A beautiful site in this dreadful, horrendous city. Marik growled under breath as she thought over her regretful choice of coming to this sand invested city. “Why did you drag me here?” Shoto asked her from his spot propped on her shoulder.

“I did not DRAG you anywhere, this isn't exactly a place I care to be either” She told him

“Then why are we here exactly?”

She turned and looked back the trading post busting people, people with potential deep pockets just waiting for the taking.

“Opportunity” Was all she said before walking away from lake.

“Whatever” Was all he said, clearly agitated before crawling back into his spot in her backpack to take shelter from the blistering sun. In Marik’s trade one had to cautiously profile individuals, find the most likely vulnerable people but not underestimating the potential threat they could be. Scanning the area as she walked a few stood out. As she walked by different stalls and people those whom were distracted a quick light movement slipped there belonging our of there pockets a solar here, and ring or trinket there. Nothing drastic take to much makes it more noticeable. She was looking for a better target, when someone caught here eye a older female, dressed in mostly black.

The old soul could catch glimpses of a Tiefling on a thieving streak, and based on the movement path, it seemed that the thief was intending to rob Ambika next. Normally, there would only be disappointment awaiting the sticky fingers. The old soul had learned decades ago never to leave anything worth stealing out in the open, and given the eccentric methodologies of her hometown, never to leave any valuables within immediate reach either. No, she had an entire inventory system woven into her overcoat that she could pull out expediently whenever she needed something. The pouch on her left was for small items, with its top covered in caltrops, and the pouch that looked much like one for storing money on her back? Designed to unleash powdered chilies upon anyone who opened it to check its worthless contents on her less charitable days. On worse days, it would be sandy glass instead, and there would be barbs woven into the pouch strings.

Today, however, Ambika was looking to lose some dirty money Gerhart had appropriated and given to her back in Guandao that she probably should have given to the labour camp workers, but she did not for one reason or another. Maybe because it would have marked them in a bad way. As such, the pouch had none of the gimmicks she would deem appropriate to set up in other days and would actually contain 5 whole Solars. That said, she was certainly not going to give it up without a fight. Better for the coin to go to someone worthy, in her view.

However the Tiefling may see fit to approach her, the old soul will make sure the former is equally robbed of something worthwhile to her - in this case, her dagger.
