Just when Beak was about to use her magic to telepathically introduce herself to Lady Kamille Verlithax and crew and offer belated thanks for the help, the offer is presented to use her magic to do it instead. S... sure..? Another meek nod and, once the inked marking is applied, the skeleton finally "speaks." "I thank you most sincerely for your aid. Please accept my humble apologies for not saying so sooner. I... ah... part of my condition includes not having much in the way of vocal cords, you see. To that end, thank you for not assuming I was some sort of monster when you saw me. I had the rudest interaction with these supposed Knights of Duros shortly before arriving here... anyway! Pray forgive my manners; my name... well... you may call me Beak. Thank you again, miss...?"... Huh. Rather articulate for, you know, a skeleton. Very polite, if ironically chatty for someone with no ability to speak outside telepathy. Beak panics when the tail swing is headed for the group, only to... well, she can't really sigh when she doesn't breathe, but the sense of relief in her "voice" is obvious when the cloud pulls up and hopefully out of harm's way before anyone can be struck. And even if the cloud hadn't evaded the tail, an ice wall cast by Cypress Springleap appears and protects her--again, before she even has time to react or try to protect herself."Ah! And thank you, as well! Stars above, for my appearance and the fact that we haven't met before, your party is positively spoiling me with your kindness." A sudden, belated realization, and Beak turns her thoughts back to Lady Kamille Verlithax . "Oh, erm... is... is this one part of the... ah... 'network' with your markings? Can she hear me, in other words? If not, could you please tell her that I said thank you? I wouldn't wish to exclude her."A wince, not just from the social faux pas, but from lingering injuries. She's grateful her feet don't have skin for that water to have scalded away, but it didn't exactly feel pleasant having her bones boiled, either. "To answer your previous question, I... am injured, yes. I can heal myself to a very minor extent if you allow me some time to rest, but even that won't leave me good as new. I suppose I have little else to do at present... I specialize in unarmed melee combat, you see, and I have regrettably few tricks that would be of any sort of use against our foe from this range."She then settles in to do just that. 1

Phasing through the portal, I flinch away from the water just in time to avoid getting wet again. At this point, my wings were functional again and I didn’t even have the energy to be angry. I’m fairly certain whatever splashed on me was some sort of stimulant, or there was no way I would have gotten as worked up as I did… Though I do stand by the thought that magic can be frustrating, and I am somewhat disappointed that the lunch offer didn’t work. Having cooled my head, and put my mask on for good measure, I surveyed the area. The city had been exchanged for a boiling swamp, steam rising from the water as if to match the ferocity of the fight that was happening to my left.
Adventurers surrounded what I could only assume to be a giant fey. With it’s sharp, sloping features and iridescent skin, even while fighting tooth and nail against a horde of adventurers, I could see it had an eerie kind of elegance and awesomeness. Unfortunately, if it was under the control of the voice we’d been hearing this whole time- which had stopped talking a while ago- then it was only interested in killing, and possibly eating us.
I scan the area, looking for how I could fit into the fight as a not-very-strong, flying guerilla unit. Everyone seemed to be contributing to the attack and blocking for themselves. Dive bombing it is. Isolating a few handfuls worth of feathers, I consolidated them into four black tipped quills, each a foot long, an eighth inch in diameter and razor sharp. I noted where the fey’s body met it’s tail, pressed against mud. Where it’s shoulder was positioned over it’s hand to support it’s body while the other arm was in the mouth of a stone giant. I flew up just in time to dodge the massive serpentine tail sweeping at me. I needed to hurry up and get in position. Once I was high enough to be out of range of the fey’s attacks, I positioned my quills. One for the tail’s base. One for the torso. Two for the shoulders. I brandished my talons in front of my face, and dove, hardening my wings into a shell around me and dropping. I went for the head.
Defense Action: Wild Mane (1/3) make a shell around
Attack action: drop the wild maned- feathers and dive bomb, hoping to head shot shot with claws or pin it down.

The erupting ground and serpentine vine-hair attacks followed the group's sequence of attacks. A thick, serpentine tail drew great furrows in the soft, squelching ground as it tried to bear down on anyone not in the Queen's vicinity. Seeing this, a wide, fang filled grin spread out across the Orochi's features. She supposed now was as good a time as any to enjoy an Encore performance, to bring this chaotic mess into it's Finale. With a light tap of her toes and a gentle step, Taki's body began to shift and sway again. As the sweeping mass of the creature's body reached her, it would pass through harmlessly. Something about this dance, the way Taki moved, gave her a temporary state where her body was no more tangible than shadow itself. Her own strikes were no less solid or real, yet terrifyingly they also ignore most solid forms of defense as well. As if serpents had somehow slithered into her skin and replaced her skeleton, Taki rolled, tucked, tumbled and undulated across the battlefield. She made sure to be as obvious and annoying about her state as possible, dancing along the Queen's giant tail, only to walk right through a thick coil as it turned and tumbled to brush her away. She knew better than to get too complacent, but the exhilarating rush of adrenaline when a normally devastating attack passes by harmlessly was intoxicating. A bit wild eyed, she let out a deep hiss while swapping from her Folding Shuriken to what looked like a farming tool. A short curved blade topped a sturdy handle, similar to a farmer's sickle, while the other end had a sturdy length of rope with a heavy cylindrical weight attached. Kusarigama was it's name and it's difficulty in use was many fold, but in the hands of a skilled wielder, it was an instrument of painful chaos. The ominous, low buzz of the weight's twirling motions followed the Dancer along her travels closer to the Queen's body. Once she was in range, she tumbled briefly through the air, then planted her feet and fired the weighted end with all her substantial might towards the creature's body. The heavy bludgeon seemed to be in several places at once, a confusing mirage of afterimages and false illusions masking it's flight. She hoped to slip it's heavy attacks in with the efforts of others, her senses attuned for what might happen next.

Post by Vail on Sept 22, 2024 22:39:26 GMT -5
From behind the queen’s neck, Vail hears a cacophony of chaos; no doubt the product of his fellow adventurers’ combined efforts. For all of the queen’s talk about how insignificant they all were, her words did nothing to prevent their attacks from taking their toll. Soon enough, the massive figure began to fall forward, only stopping her complete collapse thanks to one of her arms. Vail keeps pace with his opponent as she descends, staying in an ample position to strike while everyone else holds her attention. “What’s the matter?” The ashlander taunts from behind her ear. “Don’t have anything to say at death’s door?”Unbeknownst to Vail, his newfound confidence inadvertently lowers his guard, allowing the queen an opportunity to strike. Time seems to slow as Vail catches a hint of movement in his peripheral vision and is too slow to prevent the cost of his folly. The ashlander’s sudden surprise is quickly replaced with shock as he feels two deep stabs in his back. Vail’s body freezes as the pain overtakes his senses, reminding him of that cold day eight long years ago. Yet again he had fallen victim to forces beyond his understanding, only this time, he wasn’t some pawn who could be cast aside so easily. A faint smile sneaks its way onto the ashlander’s face as the numbness in his right arm begins to rapidly spread through his torso. “Hey, you’re up. Tear ’em to shreds.” He whispers in a pained, raspy voice. The ashlander's head falls limp for the briefest of moments, before rising sharply, his eyes wide open like a beast on full alert [1]. His right arm stretches as he swipes in a wide arc, smashing the snake-like kelp strands embedding themselves in his back [2]. With his strings severed, the frenzied man slams himself on the back of the queen's neck, grabbing onto it with as much force as he can muster [3]. A blood-curdling scream erupts from him, one devoid of any restraints or sense, as his free hand repeatedly strikes the watery form [2].
[1] Buff action: Berserker's Rage [2] Offensive action: Swipes through the queen's hair and then punches the queen's neck (2-3) times (Same action and target, just narrative flavoring to break free of stabby hair.) Weapon and relevant attack passives: Hand Wraps: Enchantment 1: Life Link - This Enhancement allows the wielder to heal from attacks landed against an enemy. After dealing damage to an enemy with this weapon you heal a minor wound which slowly heals up giving the weapon's wielder some rejuvenation. Can be applied to all weapon types.
Enchantment 2 (Monk): Cold Iron - When a weapon with this Enhancement is drawn in the presence of denizens of the Elder realm, they cause a fear effect upon them that lasts for one post per hit. (Denizens of the Elder realm include Fae, Spirits, Undead, and other Supernatural monstrosities). Causes a lingering effect of malaise, slowing the target’s speed by half and preventing them from accessing their magic. Can be applied to any weapon type.
Enchantment 3 (Tourney Favor): Double Strike - This enchantment allows the wielder to strike twice with a weapon while only making one attack. This lets you deliver two consecutive strikes in the same amount of time it would take to make one.
Two Piece: Brawlers have learned to combo their attacks, able to deliver quick successful attacks one after another. If a brawler is able to successfully land an attack with just their fist, they can launch another attack with their other fist directly after it as apart of the same attack. This follow up attack follows the outcome of the first, meaning if the first strike lands, the second one will automatically land.
Sweeping Fury: While rage can be a useful tool for the berserker, it forces them to see everyone as a foe, unable to separate friend from their target. While in rage their attacks become more reckless, wild and for everybody. Their melee attacks with their weapons will turn into sweeping cleaves, wide attacks that attempt to hit everyone in their range. They can strike multiple targets with one sweeping strike, with the force of the weapon having just as much impact as a normal strike. Because of this however they can sometimes strike friends who may be standing by their side in battle.
[3] Passive: Iron Grip - He's pinching her neck really hard Wounds: 1/3 Major, 1 Minor (Major healed to minor due to Life Link enchantment) Active passives: Controlled Immunity - poison/toxic reduction Bulls Strength Tattoo - Double Strength Shadow Sight Pass without a trace Hands are weapons Iron Grip Dashing Enchantment: Master Unarmed built-in enchantment Two Piece Hands are weapons Divine Ascent (3/3) posts Berserkers Rage (1/3) posts Undying Rage Equipped items: Phantom Plate (Cuirass) (3/3)HP Smoldering Cape (Clothing) Hand Wraps (Unarmed Weapon): Life Link, Cold Iron, Double Strike

Glancing at the other person running off, I have an idea form to join the others. watching the guard who guards against me, I grin and see the rubble from the worm before. My eyes lightly glow as I mentally grab at one I know I can move quickly but still large enough to at least match me in this form. Pulling the thing to me, I give a two finger salute to the guard and turn as my view moves to allow the boulder to attack the barrier area. Rose clutches onto my dress as the area shifts once more. I clench my hands and instinctively push my back foot on the ground and keep moving. Glancing around as I move, I see many of the party from before, and this mega creeper, not unlike Volc if in the darkness. I hear a shift, and see a wave of some kind of tail making it's way to me. i turn my direction against it, aiming carefully as my speed grows and meet it as it sweeps the area. I keep pushing, trying to keep against it and make my way over it as I skate over. as I see the end, I push till I can jump off of this thing.
Clone One stands in awe of the view, seeing it all that's happening. With a grin, she leans back down and blows on more mushrooms. Collecting the dust from them, pocketing some, placing dome dust in the space patch.
Clone Two tilts her head as the others finally come to their senses. "Well, a big baddy showed up, made this illusion of a space, feel free to stand in shadows and watch the buildings and see it." She uses her hands to gesture to the shadows behind her. "A group of adventurers, a group I'm in, came to help. When we get here, you all tried to arrest us before we could even realize we moved places." She keeps a relaxed figure as she smiles to them, "But it sounds like your finally leaving whatever spell got placed on you."

Outside the portal “I don’t know…” the knight groans in response to Hektor. Looking around, the young apprentice, Lady Keyke Runi ’s and Lady Astrid Stormstone ’s clones would all see the city start to wobble and flicker. The magic infiltrating the realm appears to be weakening. Now they can see across the area as the buildings start to disintegrate before their eyes. But they also see something else, the four distortions are growing in size and the portals are clearly visible and merge towards the center which had been impossible to traverse before. There’s a tingling sensation of massive amounts of energy rippling through the air. Something was going on beyond the veil, and it’s hard to tell if it’s a good sign or not. The knights remaining on the field who are still conscious come to their senses as well. They’re very confused but Lady Keyke Runi ’s explanation is enough to get that knight to rush to rally the others. They work to get the unconscious knights out of the area and ready themselves to aid any adventurers who manage to make it back out of the massive rift in space and time. Portal Lady Keyke Runi arrives in the portal to complete chaos, but is quick to jump into action and skate up the tail after it swings across, bludgeoning multiple adventurers but missing a few who are quick to evade. Lady Kamille Verlithax , and @sprinleap use combined efforts to avoid and deflect the tail and remain in the air. Hylltywyll likewise portals away from the hit and leaves an unpleasant swarm behind that zaps the fae’s tail. Using the opportunity, Lady Kamille Verlithax casts god killer. The Queen glances down beneath her as she tries to push herself upright and her eyes flash once more…but this time the counterspell does not go off. She hisses as the burning chains wrap around her body and tether her in place. Beak takes a moment to heal herself. Marion Aurea and Mikael Mooreson unfortunately are slammed by the tail as it sweeps across, knocking them back across the field. Javal Zarrias defends against the hits then uses the water around the area to further restrain the queen while Nadia fires at her. Fish the Tinkerer evades one attack, but takes another in order to get as close as possible and launches a cold-iron infused attack to try and keep the queen pinned. She doesn’t have knees, but a solid hit does land and makes her one arm skid out from under her cause her her to slam into the soft ground. Kvasir Sigurrós defends against the brunt of the attack, but still feels the sting of just how big of an impact it was. He’s quick to heal Buttfellow who was downed by the attack, but the recklessness of a certain purple fellblood draws his attention as they risk their own safety. He berates his theyfriend. Business as usual. Gwendolyn Mystwud , Vail , Lady Astrid Stormstone , Shaa Rhunn , @shitakibo and Natsunats-Shun evade, tank, or take the retaliatory attacks before launching into a multitude of strikes that ripe and tear through the Queen’s defenses. The Queen’s mocking smile turns into a frustrated scowl. “How DARE you!” She shrieks. With the Queen solidly immobilized, Morrigan Moonweaver lands two more poison-infused attacks in the exposed wounds inflicted by the other adventurers. The Queen’s eye twitches and she bares her sharp teeth at the adventurers. But then her eyelids droop as the poison takes effect. Sleep takes the gigantic fae and leaves her completely defenseless against the adventurer’s onslaught. The poison wouldn’t last long. Neither would the chains. They needed to go all out now lest they risk her fury when she awakes, or worse, risk her escaping into the massive tear that is stretches across the sky above their heads as the portal’s structure starts to collapse. It’s now or never.
The deadline to get your reply in for this round is Monday September 30 at 11:59 pm ET

The size difference between Fish and the Queen is helping the bird stay somewhat safe despite being in the middle of the melee. Most of the adventurers seem to be aiming a lot higher than Fish is meaning the bird doesn't have to do much work avoiding them as well. It is a lot to process at once, but Fish is beginning to understand how Del is as alert as she is. They are a long way from being able to do that up close and this is a hell of a time to learn, but its faster to hone fighting skills by actually fighting.
Fish's plan seemed to be working for the most part though. The little disruption they could cause had buckled the Fae Queen and now other adventurers were landing much more significant blows. They just had to keep the pressure on and make sure that the Queen was not able to get back up and mount a come back.
The bird feints back before running forward at full speed. It was time for Fish to do about as much damage as Fish could without pulling out their gun again. Focus on your ki, they thought, disrupt theirs and keep them off balance. They leap towards they fae queen to begin scaling the massive monster. Fish weaves and dodges through the other attacks, looking like a flea traveling across a great pond.
With the eightfold past still going, Fish reaches the summit of Mount Fae Queen. They launch themselves forward and aim a cross punch at the 'neck' area aiming for whatever counts as a central nervous center. As they land on the 'collarbone' Fish springs up again to try and land an uppercut to her chin to send that final stunning wave of ki through her brain.
Fish lets themselves fall away from the queen, the free flowing scarf billowing out to slow their descent. As Fish drifts down, they watch the rest of the adventurers close in. At this point, they could only hope they had done enough to give people a chance to go in for the kill.

As I land, I swerve my eyes to land where Gwen is. As the big...fae? goes down, I am reminded of something I missed my chance with before. I push my skates to lightly land and go to where Gwen is. A flash of clear circle enters my head, each action the spell takes processing and filling the scope. I grin and wave to her, "Lady Gwen! Hi!" I skid to in front of her and tilt my head, "So, what have you learned so far? Oh! I can defiantly say I learned a little thing from you!" I bounce a bit as I release my bag, letting Rosemary stay laying down on it. "Stay right here with them, don't want you getting any more hurt!" I leave the her and release the spell in my head, a dim light of gold surrounds me. Turning my head slightly to face Gwen as my body turned to the enemy I smile, "Watch this!" I shift my legs to slide me right in front of her. Close enough that any other shots can hit me as well. I snap my fingers and let Carl come into my grasp. Tilting up to hit the forehead, I speak to the enemy in front of me, "You know, I have a feeling you can still hear us. But I need to thank these others for letting me get such an easy shot in." With a giggle, I hold Carl in place and lightly sing out, "Carl, lets kill." It's eye closes for a moment, but only a moment. The irregular attachment startles open, no longer a red but pulsing a multitude of colors. It gathers up to it's front and blinks, sending a pure beam of energy right into the head of the one in front of me. Looking up to see the others, I grin as one of my favorite magic users, perhaps even possible mentor in some magic, gathers her spell. I wave with my free hand to her, "Nice Fireball Kamille!"
Clone 1, in a huff for them finally listening to her, moves with them and helps from shadows, like adding a bit more strength or moving something right where it's needed. Clone 2 run to the middle area and lets the magic from the beginning return. A giant woolful appears by the knights with minor wounds and cuddles to them in hopes for giving minor heals.
Keyke is located in the Portal Action 1- Buff Action: Divinities Blessing (on herself) Action 2- Attack Action: Carl's Beam of Arcane Energy (BLAST 'EM!) Once per thread, this crossbow can aim and fire a beam of pure arcane energy from the eye that extends up to long range and deals heavy damage, piercing through at least three magical hit preventions or barriers.
Clone 1: Buff action: Helps the Knights move around things
Clone 2: Buff Action: Wonderful Wacky Woolfuls (heals knights)
Summery: Keyke jumps at the chance to do something with the little knowledge she has learned. coating herself in Divinities blessing and in position to take hits to create more energy on it's release. She activates special ability on Carl the Crossbow aka the Arcana Beam. Clone 2 directs the guards on what's been happening and possibly what's happened to them, keeping the spell going to make sure noting drastic happens. The Queen was held down by chains and his stone titan, but none of that looked like it would hold for very long. The chains were already straining and Hylltywyll could tell his spell was nearly at the limit of its duration. Now was the best time to strike while the Queen was restrained. The best time to hit her with everyone's strongest attack and most powerful spells. But Hylltywyll couldn't help but feel that familiar grumble of hunger in his tummy that he knew there was only one thing that could satisfy. Looking at the Queen, even at a distance, he could feel there was just so much magic there, and he craved it. He could use that sea domain magic so much better than this old hag. A giant hand made of water rose up beneath Hylltywyll and began moving toward the prone Queen, bending down to deliver Hylltywyll onto her back. As much as he usually liked to go for the hand, both of hers seemed a bit too occupied at the moment. He'd just settle for this. It wasn't like it actually mattered. Opening his mouth as wide as he could, Hylltywyll sank his little fangs into the Queen's skin and began to suck the mana from her hungrily. The watery hand moved away, toward the Queen's head. While he was occupied with his meal, he could still control the hand, and he intended to use it to show one last disrespect to the oversized mermaid. The hand rose up into the air, spreading its fingers and holding the pose for a moment before slamming down onto the Queen's head in the most disrespectful attack Hylltywyll could think of, a slap to the face. The stone titan did its best before it dissolved into black seafoam to rip the Queen's arm off entirely and swallow it. If it couldn't swallow the entire Queen, it would settle for just the arm.

I hit the fae queen with a squelching thud, impact ripping up through my arms and burying my hands deep in the kelp-like hair. I distantly realized had a slimy texture closer to kelp than hair, and yet still had the hardness to shield it’s skull against my blow as the strands I’d pierced through sloughed off into the water
It shrieks, and for some reason, I have a much clearer realization as I dig my rear talons in to keep from falling off. This is the voice that’s been in our heads since we first stepped through the strange bubble. This was, presumably, the mastermind of the whole debacle.
A new anger bubbled up in me. Not the black, twisted, petty anger that I used to summon the inner demon. Not the pointless haze brought on by the potion. It was a clear-minded, brightly burning anger and distain. It was intelligent enough to speak. To understand and replicate humanoid society. Yet turned down my offer of soup. It didn't even try to communicate anything meaningful.
It’s pinned to the mud with feathers in its’ hands, magical chains covering its body, and has a horde of adventurers going in for the kill. It being so thoroughly restrained gave me more courage than I should’ve had with a beast several times my size. I recalled the feathers I’d used to brace myself and pulled my claws from the mat of hair. I could see glimpses of its scalp from the little bald patch I’d created, but I knew I didn’t have the brute strength needed to cut through it and cause any real damage. Instead I used the feathers to form a long staff with a sharp hook at the end.
“You!” I yelled I jumped on its head more out frustration than an actual attack, then slammed the hook end into its jaw so that it caught on the flesh.
“Attack a village,” I gave it a tug to make sure it was secure before jumping, vaulting in front of its face and landing a kick to it’s chin, forcing its mouth open.
“I offer you soup” I hastily throw in the flask of fejota, seeing Fish rapidly approaching out of the corner of my eye.
“You insist on eating people” I let go of my impromptu vaulting pole and free fall while my wings fill out again.
“When this could’ve been a lot more pleasant!” Fish moves in a blur, and I see him land a solid hit against its jaw, before I flip over and catch the wind in my wings. I listed to one side, turning to look at it again.
"Why?"

Hatred. Anger. Rage. Due to his years of training, Shaa had not lost his mind to the fury that is the Berzerkers calling card. What it did for him, was give him focused violence. All of the other concerns had dropped away and now only destruction and death lay before him like a lone drumstick on a giant table.
The swampy queen was failing. Shaa’s companions had done their damage. Maybe if they set a good example of this creature, the other beings of this dimension would take note and be wary. Or not. Let them come and fall in the wake of destruction he was about to let lose. He just needed some leverage.
Shaa reaches out and, while strange, can feel the power of the earth flow into him. He concentrates the power and lets it flow through his already keen and twitchy body. Then suddenly….he explodes. His 12 ft frame has now enlarged to just shy of 50 feet tall. A 50 foot mass of rage and nerve. With another much louder roar, he looks for anything to grab onto, his weight pushing hard down on her head. He sees one arm is being held fast so he turns and grabs the other arm. He puts everything he can into a martial move perfected by the Fighters Guild and made infamous by himself. He had never tried it on a creature so large but something inside him was screaming. He had to do it. He must do it.
With his strength and focus aligned, Shaa pulls on the arm until he feels the muscle go tight. There it was. He twists his body hard to the side and yanks as hard as he possibly can. His muscles in his massive shoulders burn with the effort. The only question is, who would give in first! Him or her arm. If he managed to repeat it off, he would immediately use it to try and bludgeon her to death.

Mikael winced trying to shield his creatures from the tail blow and flew back with a sickening dull thud. He winced feeling a taste of iron in his mouth as he slowly rose to his feet with the help of his creatures. It was true he wasn't much of a fighter but he did have a few tricks up his sleeve for when things got dire such as this moment. From his bag he pulled a chocolate out and popped it in his mouth a bit surprised by the fluffy white filling inside. He focused and his eyes seemed to glow brighter and a more electric blue. The storm chocolate was finally having its chance to work and boy he hoped it did. With that he gestured to the creature and thanks to the chocolate, he cast call tornado at the fairy queen. It was all he could do to make sure the spell was fully cast and that he was at least somewhat useful to the others. After it was cast however he felt the waves of dizziness overcome him and he hit his knees. He called sola and Chesh back to their scrolls just in time before everything went pitch black and he passed out. Darius let out a worried little squeak stumbling over to mikael and giving his head a little nudge before laying by him exhausted.
Summary:Storm chocolate used to call tornado and recalled pets since they are passing out anyways Active Items/Abilities: Storm chocolate-A small piece of chocolate with a fluffy, white filling. When consumed, the eater will be able to cast Call Tornado once during a topic without needing to know the spell. You can cast the spell anytime during the topic but lose the ability to do so if you consume a new Chocolate before the spell is used.

Post by Lady Kamille Verlithax on Sept 30, 2024 16:14:58 GMT -5
" ASTRID!" The Witch's face went pale for a second beneath the mask, with everything going on around her, while she tried to focus on spell she was casting. A part of her knew that wasn't the original Astrid - she could feel the pool of mana that was original Astrid, getting up and close at the fae queen's face, as it was suited for her. But for a brief second, the information was lost on her, and she saw the image of Astrid poofing before them, as she took the hit for them all. A rise in temperature could be felt by the group in the cloud, betraying Kamille's calm exterior and showcasing the rage about to erupt- "Astrid's fine... she was a replicant." Right. A replicant. Don't lose your shit, you dumbass. It was not the original Astrid, as you already knew. Kamille hugged Cypress Springleap sideways when the young satyr sniffled, even if it might be for her own comfort than anything else. " Astrid is okay. And you're doing a good job, Cypress! Don't worry!" Her heart still raced uncomfortably in her chest, but Beak thankfully pulled her focus elsewhere. Kamille is clearly taken aback by Beak's eloquency upon receiving the inked marking, though her mask would probably veil her reaction. " Wha-....? But-... That is preposterous! That you would be treated as a monster, I mean! I suppose you can consider yourself lucky then, I guess? As long as you're with us, you have nothing to fear." Maybe it was only expected that the woman in black, with a cloak of black feathers and a raven skull mask could be the least judgemental about a skeleton, eh? The stars might as well have aligned for that. " My name is Kamille, dear. Do you need to be directed to a trusted necromancer to resolve this issue of speech, perhaps? I can get you in touch with a couple friends who can look into it, if you'd like-... Oh! Cypress, this darling over here is Beak, and they're saying thanks!" But this was hardly the time for networking or lessons in arson, so Kamille picked the information that stood out amidst the words Beak threw her way: meelee combatent. Yes, it was hardly useful to be that distant from the target on that circumstances. Willed by her, the stormy cloud which all of them sat upon started to descend gently from the skies, smoothly, as for them to approach the ground to a distance that was safe enough for any of them to jump off if they wanted. Kamille still kept an eye around for any other attacks the fae queen might launch, but it turns out... her spell worked! Not only that, but others too! The fae queen was asleep now, and it was the right time to attack. With a last glance towards Cypress and Beak to make sure they were alright, Kamille focused with her eyes closed, weaving arcane energies around her that would increase her next earth domain based spell [1]. And then, surprising a total of zero people, sparks flew from her fingers gathering in her palms, as she released a Massive Fireball as a farewell gift for the Fae Queen [2]. And that is when she realizes someone is complimenting her fireball, which makes her promptly straighten her spine and throw her hair to look around. Turns out, it was Lady Keyke Runi! " Oh! Keyke! Glad you could join in time!"
The city of illusions start to crumble all around them. Hektor tries to think fast, but ends up with the basic premise: "Okay dude, just don't panic. Disaster! Get us out of here!" The golem, ever the gentle giant, takes both the apprentice and the knight nearby under his arms and starts to sprint in the opposite direction from the disturbance in the center. Kalaf growls, but seeing as the smaller little one is taking his distance, the old black drake flies above him. The Witch would want him to be vigilant over the smaller little one... though he keeps glancing over to the disturbance, in hopes the Witch will be out of it. [1]Soul of the Earth [2]Massive Fireball

Quick Summary: Cypress is exhausted. After introducing herself to Beak , she plops onto Kamille's cloud and watches the onslaught while she catches her breath.
Kamille is nice. Cypress comes to that conclusion while she's wiping her eyes, glancing sidelong at the woman after she pulls her into a hug from the side. She didn't realize her hands were starting to shake - or that she held so little resistance when she just slumps against the witch's side and watches what's left of Cstrid sparkle away with tired eyes. When Kamille steps away, Cypress rubs at her nose and turns around to look towards the Fae Queen; flashes of light, magic, and darkness surround her while adventurers of all kinds fight for their lives - and the lives of so many more that she can't even begin to comprehend... " Huh?" When Kamille addresses her, she blinks before glancing at her with her head cocked; she looks towards the cloaked individual and wonders if she missed them speaking to her. " O-oh! You're welcome!" she chirps, bowing her head politely as she turns towards them, " My name is Cypress - it's nice to meet you!" As they quietly begin to care for their wounds, Cypress lifts her head and glances towards Kamille before turning to face the Fae Queen as they approach upon the witch's cloud. She's real tired... but everyone here must be exhausted and hurt. She glances back at Kamille, watching the motions and sparks that conjure as she beckons her magic; and for a moment, she watches in awe, before glancing back at the weakened fae queen. With a little breath, she... She just, falls back; she plops onto Kamille's cloud, ears drooping and palms shivering; while she watches as magic, weapons, and determination from so many batters the fae queen in one final hurrah. Her shoulders rise and fall while she catches her breath; and while she does, Skelly pops his head out of her bag; he licks his eyeball, where the lights and glimmers of the fight before them reflect in his black pupils.

The building around the Replicants, Dstrid and Estrid, starts to flicker out of existence. Looking around and through the fading walls, they spot the mass of distortions. “Uh oh…” Dstrid says. “Maybe it’s a good thin’?” Estrid suggests. The two of them exchange a glance when they realize the knights they’ve been harassing have started to come to their senses. “Ah, hey! Are ya in yer right minds now?” Once (if) they confirm that they are, the two Replicants end the spell on them and help them to their feet. “Lots a’ crazy stuff is happenin’! Let’s hop ta helpin’ folks!!” The Replicants take off across the field to start helping anyone they can.
Inside the distortion: chaos. A slew of attacks and spells from everyone inside brings the Queen to her knees. Astrid’s boots keep her firmly planted in place as she braces for impact, [1] and she moves to whichever side of the Queen’s head will keep her upright as she does. But then… she has an idea. Before the fae queen hits the ground, Astrid jumps from her falling body, detaching her feet and hanging in the air briefly. Then, with a wiley grin, the half-dwarf grabs her hammer in hand and lets gravity do the work for her. Thrusting all of her weight and strength behind her hammer, Astrid brings it down in an explosive and powerful strike. [2] She lands roughly on the Queen’s head, but boy does she feel confident. “HAH! TOLD YA YA WERE GOIN’ DOWN!!” she gloats. That’ll teach HER not to mess with Charon’s best and brightest. “LET’S GO, EVERYONE!”With the Queen relatively restrained, it’s time to finish this! Raising her hammer above her head, Astrid lets her connection with the weapon and her magic flow through her, and then she aims her hammer at the back of the Queen’s neck. That's when she notices a berserk Vail with a similar idea. "Oi, move it angry guy! I'm gonna smack her!" Whether or not he does is entirely up to him. With every bit of her might, she slams her hammer into the neck in an attempt to take her out – permanently. [3] The weapon slams into her flesh hard enough to lift Astrid from her feet briefly, and she lands again feeling somewhat winded. A burst of magic from Kvasir catches Astrid’s eye, and she finds it directed at Buttfellow, who started to fall apart under his own weight from the crushing damage of the Queen. Life sparks into the golem’s eyes once again, [4] and the repairs done to him by Kvasir’s magic fix the runes enough for the construct to get one last attack in. Metal groans as the golem gets to his feet. One arm, whose runes were too damaged to keep the floating material connected, stays behind in the pool of water, but this doesn’t stop him. The golem lets out a mechanical, guttural bellow and charges forward. With his only remaining fist raised, Buttfellow slams his full weight into a strike against the Queen. [5] Each movement makes the damaged metal of his body groan, but he’s still up and still fighting. A very fitting moment for the hastily pieced together yet somehow hardy construct.
