Traveling along the main road. Gafelker loses his memories while traveling. Forgetting where he is going, and where Gafelker has come from. The world was now in a fug even Ember could not remember her name. She knew to stay with Gafelker and that they were close but that was it. The large trees were green and brown. Their branches were long and thick shading them from direct sunlight. fallen leaves green ferns with underbrush was in abundance everywhere around them. Birds and insects flying around. The sound of branches creaking, feet crushing the leaves as Gafelker walked. Leaves rustling with the breeze. Birds singing, insects humming, and chirping. The smell of trees and wildflowers the dried leaves. Scents on the wind of the forest up ahead with another smell mixed in. The touch of rough tree bark as Gafelker placed his hand on the tree as he passed. The soft touch of falling leaves. uneven ground beneath his feet. with the crunching of leaves. A man came into view. A slim man with brown hair. fair skin with freckles, and light green eyes. Looked to be two feet taller than Gafelker. The Man was staring into the forest. Gafelker wondered if the man was lost too. Gafelker slowed his walk and kept his hands out. so they could be seen. "Greeting stranger, I am ah..... well that does not matter I guess. I am lost could you tell me where I am?" Asked Gafelker.

Caspian frowned as he wandered the woods confused leaning heavily on his cane. Where had he been trying to go? Why did he veered off the road? Had he heard something? He was quite confused by this strange conundrum. Usually he had quite the memory but now he couldn’t remember where he was going or even how he got here? It felt like he had been walking for hours and soon he found himself back at the road pausing as they saw the faint silhouette of a figure through the fog “ah hello? Is someone there?” They asked hoping it wasn’t just a strange shadow of a tree or something of that nature. He limped forwards on his cane a bit trying to get closer. Gods his feet ached. He was still getting used to walking more. Wait did he walk all the way out here? It hardly seemed plausible with his bad leg and fragile constitution but he couldn’t remember for sure. He soon took a breath and pushed the thoughts from his mind as best as he could before hobbling a bit faster towards the figure “hello? My name is caspian. Do you know where this road leads? I’m afraid I’m a bit lost”
he then paused hearing the other as he stopped before him “ah I’m afraid I’m lost as well…” he frowned as he leaned his weight on the cane for a break “I’m afraid I can’t even remember which way I was going…”

Gafelker was a short fella he stands just under 4 feet and is slim in build. His playful Green eyes and whitish hair are kept straight. Gafelker wears an elegant garment made from exquisite cloth of grays and greens adorned with silvery runes. With his fine made adventuring clothes. Gafelker is a sight to see. He held an ornate wood staff in his hands.
"This can be quite the problem," replied Gafelker. "I have never had this problem before. and the chance we are both lost is not impossible but not knowing where we are going. That is not so plausible." explained Gafelker. looking around confused. A fire Pixie flies and lands on Gafelker's shoulder she has red wings red hair and a red flower dress. "Hello, I am Embers" She gives Caspian a look over. "Even I do not know where we are. For a Pixie in the woods that is almost impassible." Embers added tapping on her chin with her finger.
"As my fine friend here stated. I see the sun and the shadow from my staff. Gafelker took a few steps to a nearby tree Toughing the moss on one side of it. "OK, that way is north. But what is north? The trail does not even lead in that direction," remarked Gafelker looking back at Caspian. "do you have any idea what is happening?" asked Gafelker scratching his head.

Caspian nodded in agreement looking around with a small frown "It is quite strange" he remarked wondering what to do. His thoughts paused at the sight of the small pixie however seemingly amazed by their appearance, smiling a little at the awe of it before focusing again on the task at hand looking in the direction that the other said was north. At least the other man could tell which way was which. "I am afraid I have no idea at all. I've never heard of this happening before nor read about any situations like this" He frowned a little trying to think on all the literature he had gone through over the years in his home. There had to be something to give them information on what was happening here. Something they were missing, something that could help them remember. He began to search his pockets and his bag, looking for anything that could give them a hint. "Maybe I have something to remind myself why I came here or what is going on?"he questioned aloud glancing up at the other to see what he thought of the idea before going back to his search looking through what he had

Gafelker sighed. "Iris, do you know anything?" asked Gafelker. He looked at the ground and moved the dirt with the bottom of his staff. Gafelker seems to be thinking. "I should have paid more attention in my classes. My Master would be disappointed in me now," Gafelker said sounding frustrated he had a melancholy look on his face.
Iris hovered and tapped her finger on her chin. "I believe I do this is something I have seen. It is the fog my people call it. One knows how or where it comes from." Iris explained. "I thought you were joking about being lost," said Iris. She flew high into the air to the tree tops. She flew back down to Gafelker and Caspian. "I see the path. I know we were going in that direction," she said pointing.
Gafelker looked at Caspian. "I suggest we travel together and get to some town. If we find anyone else in this state we can take them with us to the next town." proposed Gafelker now standing up straight. "Think Iris can show us the way," offered Gafelker looking down the trail.
Iris flew around Gafelker and Caspian. "Masters I will lead you if you trust me. I will get us back to a town. I hope we find others and get everyone to safety." says Iris now hovering between Gafelker and Caspian. Iris flips her fiery red hair back and makes a cute face. "Well you two Masters?" she asked with a smile.

Caspian smiled relieved and nodded in agreement "That would be wonderful thank you Embers and do not be so hard on yourself sir. I've heard of enchantments or woods like this before from tales in books. There aren't many good ways to avoid or deflect their effects. I am just glad to have you and your companion who are able to help" He said with a kind smile hoping it would help the other feel better.
He let his weight lean against his cane some thankful to take a bit of weight off his bad leg. He was hoping to get a brace, perhaps enchanted to help him walk without the need for the cane but for right now that was a mere dream. "Please lead the way miss Embers" Caspian encouraged and moved to follow along relaxing some. It was easier to do such things when he was not alone. Traveling with someone was better than alone. Caspian walked and focused on looking and listening for signs of other travelers as they went along, calling out and helping those they came upon, trying to comfort them and let them know they would find a way out very soon. He wondered if his twin had ever been in such a situation.

"Yes Sir Caspian," replied Iris. She started to fly next to Gafelker and pointed down the road. "That way old man." instructed Embers. It felt like they walked for hours The large brown trees with their limbs were long and thick shading them from direct sunlight. Green ferns with underbrush were in abundance on both sides of the road. It was thick and hard to see into the forest. Insects flying around in the trees and bushes. The sound of branches creaking. Leaves rustling with the breeze. , insects buzzing, and chirping. The smell of trees and wildflowers in the air it was peaceful in the midday. Gafelker and Caspian rounded a bend in the road it sound of screaming could be heard over some buzzing. A cart with it looked like an old man and some kids under it the man trying to comfort the kids. The kids cry shaking in fear. Over them were 4 giant wasps about three feet long and diving on the cart the cart looked like it had seen better days a mule lay dead on the side of the road not moving. [1] Gafelker raised his staff in the air as a red hue covered the staff. [2] The red hue washes around the staff as it gets brighter He spoke some words. "Caspian, should we get involved and help these people?" asked Gafelker his face with concentration focusing on the Wasps.

Caspian hobbled along with the others carefully before he froze hearing the scream and seeing the situation. He began to move forward faster “of course we should!” He called back as he focused and water began to form around his arms, being pulled from the air around him. He focused on doing it right to avoid getting near the man and kids before launching the wave at the wasps, knocking two to the ground and wetting their wings so they couldn’t fly. He tried to think of what to do next wanting to help how he could. He wasn’t physically strong, he couldn’t run. But he was learning magic and would use it to save anyone he could. Caspian let more water swirl around his arms aiming another sho. He hoped they could end this swiftly as his stamina was not strong enough to cast many times yet. He wouldn’t be useless or a hindrance though. No he would be strong and brave like his brother. He felt the weight of the family crest necklace he wore, the signet ring on his hand. He would not be powerless again. He would save them this time. No more loss

Gafelker looked at Iris. "Give your fire to Caspian if you can," said Gafelker in a hurry. [1] Iris moved her hands and blew at Caspian coated him in fire magic. Flames danced across his body as the water changed to fire. Gafelker pointed his staff at two of the flying wasps. [2] Orbs of fire, wind, and water appeared circling the top of the staff. He spoke three words. The orb of wind hit the wasp and twisted it in the air ripping a wing off Followed by the water orb that hit the falling wasp smashing it into a tree and crushing it under the presser. The last orb of fire hit the last wasp burning its wings and its legs burning away as it hit the ground. The wasp lay on the ground twitching as the flames consumed it.
The people under the cart looked up not sure what was happening the kids screamed as the wasp burned on the ground and was hit by the Magic attacks. The orbs of fire and wind made a lot of sound when they hit the wasp and must have frightened the children. The smell of burnt wasps filled the air. the sound of other wasps twitching on the ground from having there wings ripped off.
[1] Fire Pixie Once per topic this Pixie can coat its owner in fire magic, which turns all damage the owner would do into fire damage, regardless of the damage type it was before. For the next two posts, any source of damage from the person will be only fire damage, going back to their normal damage types after the duration. [1] Tri-Beam, By holding out your hand you cause three small orbs to form, an orb made of Fire, Water, and Wind. You can then fire these three orbs out in a medium range, attempting to strike a target. You can split these orbs up, choosing to send them all at the same target, or splitting them up among three different targets. Deals Fire, Water, or Wind damage, each belonging to a separate orb.

Caspian was surprised as his water whips seemed to turn to blazes of fire. With that he focused on the wasps and hit one with the fire whips quickly wanting to help the people if he could. He was still learning magic so he may not know as much as others but he would try and help no matter what. The whips of flame danced around him as he attacked another one of the creatures trying to keep them away from the cart and people trapped under it.once Gafellker felled the last of the creatures he let the flames dissipate and hobbled forward to help those under the cart, holding out a hand to help some of them up “is everyone okay?” He asked worriedly as he looked them over for injury. He hoped they had gotten there in time before anyone had been hurt too bad.He glanced back to the pixie after making sure people were well. “thank you for lending me your fire Iris. It is much appreciated.” He stated before turning to Gafellker “your magic is amazing. I’m thankful you were here” he said sincerely with a polite bow of his head, his family crest dangling from the necklace he wore.

Iris gave a bow after she heard Caspian's thank you. Iris smiled, "I am happy I could help," Iris responded. Iris now looking at the dead wasps. She flew around the people and the wagon looking around.
Gafellker hearing Caspian's complement waved his hand. "I have a lot to learn still and a long road to travel. I am 50, as humans go about your age I think. So, I do have a few years on you. I am sure Master Caspian you could have done it on your own," commented Gafellker looking over the other travelers. "I saw you have a family crest, are you nobility Master Caspian?" inquired Gafellker also helping the other travelers from under the wagon.
The old man was a Half-Dark Elf and Humen the kids look related but not his kids. The little girl hides behind the older Elf. The boy stands beside the Older Elf. All are dressed in common clothing that is very worn and a little dirty now. "Masters thank you, I am Bolmirth. I owe you my life. I have no coin to repay you for your help. I could give you a meal if you will take that as payment." The old Elf said with thankfulness in his tone.

Caspian nodded happily to the fairy watching them fly off before hearing Gafelker and turning. His smile seemed to dissipate at the question. "I was...technically I still am I suppose. Though after Vulcadreous I am the only member of the house and not much of one" he gave a weak smile. "My brother was always the hero, a knight like our father. I could never compare but I can help here and there with the little magic I have learned so far" he replied trying to hold on to hope. His thoughts were cut off as the others approached. His attention turned to them relieved to see they were all okay. "You owe nothing friend. Please don't worry of payment." Caspian spoke with a little shake of his head and a smile "Do you need help with your wagon or anything to be on your way again? Don't want to be stuck out there for too long. Perhaps we can help you to the nearest town" he remarked as he looked at the group lightly adjusting his cane for a bit of comfort. He would need some of his medicine soon but he had a moment to make sure the others were all okay

With everyone safe, Gafelker leaned on his staff. "Master Caspian is right. You owe us nothing," added Gafelker with a warm smile. "I am sure we can move everything if we all work together. We could get everything back to a town," Gafelker suggested with a smile. Gafelker started to walk around the cart. It did not have much on it. Then, I looked at the kids. They would not add too much weight, he considered. He did some quick calculations and then looked at everyone. Then again, the kids could walk and help push a little when needed.
Gafelker stroked his beard a few times. That will have to work, he thought. He looked up into the sky at the position of the sun. "Let us get this going. We still have daylight. We could push and make it to the next town by tonight." Gafelker proposed, looking at Iris, who answered with a nod.
With the older man, Gafelker, and the kids pushing, it was not hard to move the cart forward. As long as they did not run into trouble, they could make it to the next town late into the night. The day went on, and they had to stop now and then for a quick meal and water breaks. It was a nice day. It was not too hot, and the humidity was low, with a slight breeze blowing. The riesling of the leaves and the sunlight shining through the tops of the trees made the travel surreal. The travelers talked a little as they went along their trail.
The day led into the evening, and as they left the forest into a large meadow stretching to the next hill, they could see farms. The farmhouses were scattered, and only a few still had people outside of them. The sun was setting going down, but there now was a road to walk on that made things easier for the travelers. Lights could be seen from the windows, and smoke from the chimneys. There was civilization at last, and the fog lifted slightly from their minds.
They moved on, exhausted and hungry, their muscles aching. Gafelker looked at Iris. "Are we almost there?" he asked, weariness in his tone. She nodded. "Yes, Master Gafelker over the next hill," said the fairy, glowing to light their path. With the end near, the travelers got a burst of energy pushing on.

Caspian nodded in agreement with the wise man's assessment of the situation. Though it was a bit of a touch walk for him he continued on and helped pull with his hand that wasn't on his cane determined to help as much as possible. When one of the kids got too tired her stopped pushing the cart and picked them up carrying them along for a while. He thought of his twin and hoped he was doing his legacy justice even if he wasn't as strong or fast as him. He looked around as they went and spoke with the others as they traveled. It was nice to converse with others and be able to help even if it wasn't much. Once they got close he set the child down smiling as they made it to the town. He was so thankful he was able to help with it all and they made it. He felt tired like he may collapse but he was happy and would stay upright until he was alone and hopefully back in the inn to rest. He would certainly write of this in his journal that was for sure. He touched the necklace on his chest and smiled some. Once goodbyes were said he said his thanks and farewells to the man and his pixie before heading to the inn to rest.
