As Shaa’s meditation ends, the snow falls to the ground cooling the lava and causing the elementals to shift and become brittle. Haha finally. From the side, an unfamiliar rider takes advantage of the shift and smashes one of the elementals to pieces. Although he would have preferred the satisfaction of smashing them himself, he was happy enough to at least be a part of the assist. And then there still was that other one.
As he starts to maneuver for a strike, he can feel a shift in his stomachs. Something was happening…something…big. He takes a moment to look back towards the dragon who has now turned to stone. Did they get him? He sure looked dead….but he didn’t…feel….Shaa’s parents call to his mind. Son, prepare PREPARE! Prepare for what. Suddenly, a violent shockwave of fire and stone blasts across everything. His parents mange to deflect the damage but the sheer force of the blast is enough to make him shift and have to recatch himself. He can feel the power of the earth flowing all around them. Sunlight, plants….here of all places. NO! He didn’t have time for this.
Turning back to the elemental, he can see the monster turn, getting ready to striker the slayer of his companion. Shaa turns his cloud back until he is above the elemental. He jumps off the cloud and uses his monk skills to force stones onto his hands and feet. He then performs the Fighter’s Guilds famous Guillotine Drop right on the elementals head. The enhanced strike is boosted by pure non elemental earth damage, bypassing any earth resistance he may have remaining. As Shaa stands in the wake of the brutal attack, the last flakes of snow fall around him.
Sill on Right Flank
Shaa loses two hit preventions from the blast. Electromagnetic effect ends with the death and blast of the elemental. Snow fall ends with a total of 6 feet.
Action One: Art of the Iron Fist Your arms, (shoulder down) and your legs (hips down) become coated in stone for the next three post, making your melee attacks sturdy and impactful. Your melee attacks will now deal earth damage that is not considered magical. Each limb gains one hit prevention (does not stack with armor) and once per duration you can redirect one elemental ranged spell, causing it to deflect, bounce, or channel off of your body.
Action Two: Guillotine Drop A martial technique that can only be used while you are in the air and falling. Using the moment of the fall you are able to increase the speed and force of an attack. While falling your next attack is doubled in its velocity and striking power, causing it to deal increased damage as well. This makes it extremely hard to dodge or even block. You must be more than 10 feet in the air for this to apply.

Blue tumbled through the air, the explosion from the dragon blasting them backward. The world spun in every direction around them, disorienting them. Anyone who had a regular stomach would have found it emptied of all its contents by now and refilled with pure nausea. Lucky for Blue, the ooze didn't have a regular stomach.
When they finally righted themself, flapping their wings as they lost momentum from the explosion, the damage of which had been mitigated thanks to the protection of the metal plates still glued to their transformed torso, they looked back to the dragon which had gone a drastic change in appearance. It wasn't nearly as large as before and now it looked almost like an ooze itself, made of glowing plasma and fire.
People were falling from the sky, burnt by the explosion, toward the ground that was at least no longer molten lava. Still, this was bad. They were about to fly down to try and help catch a few when they suddenly realized they should have already had someone on them, but couldn't feel her anymore. Where did Gwen go!? Did she get thrown off of them in the explosion? They looked around, but didn't see her among the people on the ground.
Agh, there was no time to look for her! If she wasn't lying on the ground, she was probably sort of safe right? She must be out there somewhere. They could feel she was still alive from the weird ring she'd given them. She also had her floaty weapons. She was fine! Definitely, probably, maybe. But there was just no time to stop and search for her in the heat of a battle with a god.
Blue flew up toward the dragon who was already being wrapped in icy chains by someone's magic. Good job, whoever was doing that! Just getting near the fiery dragon was still painful though, so Blue kept a distance and launched some globs of blue goo at it as they flew by. One bubble bounced back off of Vulcareus, leaving a splat on it before falling toward the ground. After their attack, Blue dove back down toward the ground to regroup with the others. Fighting something made of fire really wasn't the ooze's specialty. They needed to try something else.
They felt around inside them, seeing if there might be anything of use they'd eaten at some point or other.

How about we do something about this dragon then?No sooner than when those words left his mouth did the giant cracks begin to appear everywhere upon the dragon like a web. A massive explosion erupted and was hit with the gigantic shocking concussive blast! Ulrich brought his arms up to shield his eyes from the explosion, but it force of it was too much, and the cloud he stood on was blown away from underneath him. He was carried away by the blast as he reached out for Astrid who he had been floating alongside! He began to spiral as fell out of the sky; not able to regain control of his momentum! He could see the ground approaching, and he could do nothing but brace himself for the inevitable impact. He soon collided with the ground; an explosion of dirt and rubble erupted from the impact. He lay there panting; one of his arms resting across his midsection as he could feel that he definitely had some broken bones. He winced in pain as he looked up at the sky through the cracked lenses of his glasses. He sighs, " You'll... pay for that, dragon." He manages to utter sarcastically through labored breaths. He began to consider the possibility that he might not be able to get up from this on his own. Just then he someone helps Ulrich out of the throne of rubble to struggle onto his feet. Leandros!Ulrich answers the knight with a nod, and he feels magic envelop his entire body; the broken bones in within mending themselves. He still feels the familiar pains of the bruising, but at least he'd be able to move freely once more! " I can get us into the skies, my friend." Ulrich holds his hand out and a cloud forms out of nowhere next to them. He hops on and gestures for Leandros to do the same. The knight steps onto the cloud and it gently rises into the air readying the adventurers' trajectory for their next attack on the dragon. Ulrich then remembers that he was floating alongside Astrid before the explosion! He quickly scans the skies for her and spots her still floating in the same place they were before! " She's quite resilient! It's almost scary, really!" He turns back to the knight, " Hold fast, Leandros! We're going to pick up a friend along the way!" The cloud turns itself in Astrid's direction; Ulrich holds his hands out, pointing behind them as wisps of wind begin to gather around them. Sudden gusts of wind shoot out from them, and the cloud is propelled quickly forward through the air to Astrid's position. As they make their way closer to Astrid, Ulrich can see that she's starting to struggle keeping herself afloat. " ASTRID!!!" He calls out to her, slowing the cloud down for her to hop on. " Here, get on the cloud! We'll ride together so you can gather your strength!" SUMMARY:Ulrich is blown back by the massive explosion from Vulcadreaus. He hits the ground, is healed by Leandros not too long after, and they ride on Ulrich's cloud to pick up Astrid in the air. ACTIONS:1.) Forms a cloud for him and Leandros to ride on into the skies. 2.) Casts Gust Thrust to propel the cloud faster towards Astrid's position and pick her up.

Post by Cyran Fenastra-Asiliari on Aug 30, 2023 8:16:06 GMT -5
Spectral energy shimmered around Cyran for all of a second before his world exploded in a miasma of heat and dragon-shrapnel and sheer primordial energy so potent that it felt as if Cyran’s own head might explode from the pressure of it all. It was only thanks to Rowan and Maruyama that Cyran survived the blast at all - a split second later and he would have been incinerated in the blast. Instead, there was a great rumbling, a crackling like a giant butterfly breaking out of his skin, and then Cyran’s center of gravity was flipped upside down as Vulcadreus erupted, not unlike the volcano itself. His vision blacked out, the force from the blow making his ears ring. The last thing he heard before he drifted off into the dark was haughty laughter, the sound of the woman that not even death could stop. And then, a smug voice whispering in the back of his mind, “You’re welcome.”It could have been seconds or minutes that Cyran was unconscious. Difficult to tell in this foggy state. And difficult to hear much besides the horrid ringing in his ears as the blurry world stitched itself together around him, looking considerably… brighter than it had moments before. And then Cyran heard the screams. Falling. They were all falling around him, everyone who’d gathered on Vulcadreus. Cyran plummeted among them, the grassy ground reaching up to meet him and that wasn’t right, this was supposed to be Mount Drakolt or what remained of it, but there was no time to pay much attention to that now - Cyran twisted himself upright, catching himself in the air with his wings. The sudden momentum made his muscle and bone scream in protest, as if threatening to rip his wings out of their sockets in his shoulder bones, and Cyran let out a pained scream that joined the cacophony of those that continued to fall around him. But he was spared the fate of death against the cold, uncaring ground. And then the combination of the pain and the terror in the air snapped him back to attention, like a broken bone yanked back into place. “Shit!”Del and Cirice! Where were they? Cirice had wings, she would be able to catch herself, but what about - he couldn’t let - couldn’t lose - There! As others on the ground scrambled to help the others, he spotted her, hurtling towards the ground with the force of a comet. Cyran only felt a momentary twang of guilt at the prospect of not being able to help the others, but there was nothing he could do. Cyran was no hero, could not carry others with the strength that Del possessed. He could only save those he loved. And by the gods he’d do everything he could until he was run into the damn ground himself. Cyran tapped his shoulder with his free hand, murmuring a quick elvish prayer that bound the shadows to his aid before shooting through the sky in a blur, vision zeroing in on the woman in front of him. “Del! Over here!”[1]And he dove, wrapping his arms around her torso and holding on for dear life, not caring how tightly he was clinging. He was hardly a strong man, not enough to stop the momentum of falling right away. All he could do was curl himself around her, twisting and maneuvering himself so that if they hit the ground, Cyran would be the one to take the damage if they couldn’t stop their descent before hitting the ground. Frantically, he beat his wings, trying to slow, slow, slow… and below him, Maruyama’s flickering form supported the both of them, ready to support his beloved student from harm with all the energy his incorporeal form held.He slowed them just enough to hit the ground feet-first, a jolt running up his spine from the impact - but his legs were intact and not shattered. Cyran checked Del for injuries first before glancing up at the sky and the sun bearing down upon him… Wait. The sun? One would think he was so used to the bleak atmosphere of the Ash Lands that the sight of the sun would be a blinding phenomenon. But in the panic and scramble he’d neglected to notice it. Now that he had, though, an entirely different panic occurred to him. Where was Caedes? He’d lost track of the changeling in the onset of the explosion, both of them too concerned with the immediate threat in front of them to bother with what they had been doing only moments before the world fell apart. Cyran closed his eyes and let out a breath, chest heaving from fatigue and exertion. You may not want my help, but that doesn’t mean I will ever stop offering it.He called the darkness to his aid, rumbling shadows and storm clouds darkening the sky once more, until the sun was obscured by eternal shade. [2]There. At the very least, that was one problem taken care of. That only left one rather major, draconic-shaped issue left. Cyran looked down at Del, whom he was still holding onto. His wings were beginning to fade, but if she needed to get somewhere he had a couple seconds left. “Up or down?” He asked, gesturing towards the odd shape in the sky, where Vulcadreus was hovering overhead. Before he could take off, though, the sound of clanking armor and a familiar voice caught his attention. Leandros was waving his halberd in the air, a futile attempt to fell the titan in the air he could not touch. That was bad. Most of their heavy hitters were down on the ground, and Lee was one of the best dragon slayers Cyran knew. They needed the might of his halberd to strike true. “If we can’t ground it you’re going to need a way up there. Can you fly?”
Lee gave a gentle laugh, “I think I am a bit too heavy for that.” Cyran squinted, staring at the flying dragon as if appraising the distance between them. They didn’t have any other options. Even the riskiest plans would have to make do for the time being. Cyran reached into his pocket, tossing Leandros his last teleporting dart. “Here. Throw it as hard as you can at the target to get up there.” He pointed towards the dragon - Leandros would get the picture. At the very least, it would give the knight a bit more maneuverability in combat - no time for them to speak more, not with the god in the sky who could descend on them any second. There was no more time to waste. Readjusting his grip on Del, Cyran took to the sky, moving her wherever she needed to go with the last of his energy.
ACTION SUMMARY
After recovering from the blast Cyran catches Del while falling through the sky, casting QUICKEN on himself to increase his speed and maneuverability through the air. He uses a free action to drop a teleporting dart to Leandros Aurthurian . Cyran then casts OVERCAST to shield Caedes from the sun and brings himself and Del wherever she needs to go. 1. BUFF ACTION- Casting Quicken on himself to reach Del before she falls too far By casting this spell on yourself or an ally, you cause them to speed up for their next post. During the next few seconds the person effected will be able to move twice as fast as normal, increasing their running and moving speed. 2. SUPPORT ACTION- Casting Overcast to protect Caedes from the sun A simple spell that can be used regardless of the time of day or the weather. When this spell is cast the sky will grow dark, much like a looking storm has formed overhead. This will blot out the sun and prevent from shadows from being cast by objects due to sunlight specifically. This can also be used to cool down the temperature or darken the area. PassivesFrozen Solid A very unique gland that is frozen and iced over, installed in the body, causing the user to feel very cold to the touch. This graft will allow the user to not be bothered by non magical warmth or heat, and will constantly give off a small aura of cold around their body. This cold is not enough to deal damage, but can be uncomfortable if exposed to for an extended amount of time. Spider Silk Boots A pair of black leather boots with silver spider web designs printed across the surface. While wearing these boots you gain the ability to walk up vertical surfaces as if it was flat ground. This lets you walk up walls or across ceilings like a spider, however does not let you cross non solid surfaces. Expanded Mind (Astral Soul I) The moment a spell is cast in your surrounding area you immediately become aware of it. Not only do you know the spell is being cast, but you know everything about it, the domain its from, its element, its effect and any additional bonuses that are applied to the spell from its owners abilities. Insight Rune A small abstract rune tattooed somewhere on your face or head (above the collarbone) This tattoo prevents anyone from lying to you, normal or magic. They can still tell the lie to you or in your presence, but you will immediately be aware of the lie. This effect can not be removed from you or ignored. All Eye A pure white eye ball that replaces one of your two primary eyes. This eye works like a normal eye, however has the added effect of being able to see through vision impairing effects, such as mist, smoke or dirt. This eye is also immune to blinding effects from things like flashes and magic. Cat’s Grace Your reflexes and basic body movement become extremely agile and nimble, allowing you to move around without the fear of falling or tripping over something. As long as you are moving you can not be knocked over or knocked off of something. If you do fall you will take no damage, landing safely on your feet as long as you have fallen less than two hundred feet. (falling off a mountain does not help you) Bat Wings (post 3/3 LAST POST) Spirit Guardian Hit Preventions (1/4)

Several magics collided with the molten beast as the adventurers raked it will spell and ability alike. It's surface turned a dull grey, then near black before a bright, star like glow punched through the seams. A concussive blast burst forth, shattering the hardened exterior of the primordial. Ryu and Keta pressed forward, shielding Taki from the blast as she was circling back for the platforms she'd created earlier. A pair of misty blue shields battled against flame and stone as they were pushed back. Taki watched as everyone was pushed back as best she could against the blinding radiance of the interior form of Vulcadreus. People would need aid, and she had the means to get a group fixed up all at once. "THOSE IN NEED OF AID, COME TO ME!!" She called out 1 to the other adventurers on the field in her drake form. She landed on the blasted earth, returning to her normal form 2 as her feet touched the still warm and strange ground below. Keta and Ryu came floating down beside her as she let out a sharp, piercing whistle every few seconds to help guide people who might have gotten flash blinded. In groups, faces both familiar and strange gathered to the shaman's vicinity. Allan and Poe descended the pillars as Taki came soaring by. Ube Calisto came flying in on a Manta similar to her own mount from the other side of the battle, avoiding the heat of the shining elemental. Javal Zarrias and his entourage came scurrying over carrying someone badly burnt and lacking vital signs( Arashi Tento ). Lady Keyke Runi zoomed across the ground on a trail of ice, joining the the others with her companions. A strange Armored Eagle flew into the camp before changing into an odd looking individual who didn't seem to need aid ( Blue Raspberry ). She did her best to coordinate everyone into the same area as she tapped into the spiritual energies that fueled her Light magic. Her Guardians hummed with power, their auras growing brighter as the shaman's eyes took on the same misty blue glow. Her four hands traced Druidic sigils of light in the air as she chanted 2 for a moment. The misty glow seemed to coalesce into streams of smoky wisps that wrapped themselves around the injured. Like the roots of a tree seeking water, the tendrils of spiritual energy dug into the various burns, cuts and injuries of those who'd gathered. As the mist filled each, Taki let out a deep breath, her hands stopping. The glow faded, threads of magical energy wafting away, taking pain and damage with them into the ether. She looked around at faces with renewed vigor, pained expressions giving way to relief. Still... there was someone with much greater concern. Solemnly, she strode across the gathering to the charred semblance of a man and knelt on the ground. Folding her hands in prayer, the shaman chanted 3 over the man as her companions took positions to either side. A soft green light swirled up from the ground below, enveloping the body gently as a brighter, white light filled his form from within. Taki's hands shook, her face afixed in a pained concentration at the exertion of such magics in succession. As the light reaches Arashi's skin, the green light sets him back down on the ground as it all fades from view, leaving behind a healed and renewed life. With a gentle shake against the shoulder, she startles the man back from their dark dreamings with a strained smile. "It's too soon for that young man... we still have a world to save and you still have journeys to take."
Summary: Taki and her Guardians land on the RIGHT FLANK after signaling to others in case they need healing or wish to regroup. Once landed, she Shapeshifts back to normal form and waits for everyone to gather before casting Massive Healing on the group. As they start to recover, she walks over to Arashi and casts Holy Revival to bring him back from charred oblivion. 1. Free Action: Shout to the others to regroup and recover. 2. Free Action: Amplified Shape Change to return to Shaman Form. 3. Massive Healing for gathered adventurers and companions. [Buffed by Spirit Shroud (SG) and Living Aura (Ac)] 4. Holy Revival for Arashi [Buffed by Spirit Shroud (SG) and Living Aura (Ac)] Mentions (Will update as needed): Kamille's Companions Allen and Poe Ube Calisto Arashi Tento Javal Zarrias Lady Keyke Runi Blue Raspberry Active: Spirit Guardian x2 [6/8 Hit Preventions] Spirit Shroud
Passives: Living Aura Geomagnetic Sense

“Aye, I’ve learned a lot in the last few months!” Astrid says with a grin. Rushing to retrieve him was no easy task, and then, to her surprise, Ulrich manifests a flying cloud and asks to be set upon it. Try as she might to focus on her next combination of magics, Astrid pulls her attention away long enough to give Ulrich a look on par with something that Leni may give him. What kind of idiot…? “If the dragon don’t kill ya an’ Leni don’t kill ya, I just might fer that,” she mumbles as the magic manifests within her. Maintaining so many Replicants is draining, but it isn’t anything she’s unused to. Mastering the spell makes getting work done in her short stints at home possible. She’ll even occasionally leave the spellcasting proxy she handed off to Arashi at home so she can create a Replicant to keep Cantio company. “Let’s do somethin’ fer sure!” she shouts with a confident grin plastered across her dirty face. With all the effort everyone puts into dealing damage to this god, the color starts to drain from his form, and the red glow from below starts to fade. They’re winning! They’re doing it! Then… There’s an explosion. It’s white hot and blinding. Everyone is thrown away. She feels her ties to the Replicants break. Fire and rock burst out from the dragon’s core. This god may move mountains, but it cannot move Astrid. A bolt of lightning cracks through the sky and deflects a number of earthen shrapnel away from Astrid. The fire still singes the ends of her cape and heats the metal of her armor, but she grins and bears it. They’ve come too far to let this monster run away now. An icy cold fog erupts from Astrid’s mouth in a forced breath. It’s time to turn down the heat. Waving her hammer across her body, Astrid summons two sets of magical chains that burst up from the earth. Usually, they glow red from the heat, but now they mist with a chill, frozen to their core. One set latches onto Vulcadreas’ left haunch, the other latches onto the right. They wrap around and hold fast and try to keep the flaming beast from becoming more airborne than it is. With that done, Astrid lets out another heavy breath. Her wings are feeling weak with strain, and she doesn’t think she’ll keep herself aloft much longer, but she won’t let that stop her from continuing to try. There’s so little she can do. She can’t save everyone that was blown back by the explosion. She might not even be able to keep herself from falling a few hundred feet to the ground below. That’s when she hears her name called, so she looks over her shoulder to see Ulrich and Leandros riding on the cloud together and beelining it for her. Palpable relief washes over her. The last thing she wants to do is pull Arcus into this mess. “I’m glad ta see ya,” she says, drifting over and landing on the cloud, still breathing hard but full of fight. “That was a bit scary.” If she doesn’t put it lightly, she’ll think about it too much. No need to send a wave of fear to Cantio through the earrings. “Good ta see yer alright, Lee.” Astrid gives the knight a small smile and turns her attention back to the dragon, bracing herself as the cloud rockets off toward it. “Those chains a’ Scern won’t last forever,” Astrid says. “We’ve gotta take advantage of ‘em while we can.” Another set of chains, one she didn’t manifest, sprouts up and snaps around the dragon’s maw. Someone had the same idea, and thank the dead gods for that. They can do this. “NOW’S OUR CHANCE TA HIT IT WITH ALL WE GOT!” Astrid shouts, taking her hammer in hand and gripping it tight. She’s invigorated by Lee’s own cry, and boy is she ready to smack the daylights out of this fiery asshole. There’s just enough energy left for her to feel ready to rush for the dragon. “Be right back!” Astrid dives off the cloud, opening her wings and charging straight for the dragon, lightning crackling through the frost cloud that flows from her hammer. Empowered by Lee’s cry and spirits, she charges forth and takes a move from Cyran’s belt. Both hands on the hammer, Astrid delivers a series of three quick but powerful blows. Each touch of the icy hammer solidifies some of the plasmic makeup of the flaming entity, and lightning leaps into the creature to do its damage. Feeling satisfied, searing from the heat, and exhausted, she returns to the cloud and nearly collapses as her wings fade from existence. Down below, Buttfellow trudges slowly after Allan and Poe after having been blown off his feet by the explosion. No longer in his combatant state, he just wanders towards the familiar. (Hopefully can receive healing from Taki.)
Direct mentions: Ulrich Ambriz Leandros Aurthurian Positioning/Summary: Astrid is on Ulrich’s cloud. Buttfellow is on the LEFT of the dragon near Kamille’s minions and Taki. Spicy Pawsage is in his Pet Pocket. Actions:- Offensive/Debuff Action: Astrid Dual Casts Scern’s God killer with the damage converted to Ice damage with Energy Transformation. Both were set up last round. SGK round 1/2.
A very powerful spell that was crafted by Scern and used against Ziev in the battle over the Sol Stone. To cast this spell, you must have made no offensive actions on your last post (nothing that intended to deal damage, injure, hurt or afflict some kind of negative effect). When you cast this spell, you target one enemy you see within 20 feet causing red hot burning chains to burst from the ground and wrap around the target. The target will take medium amounts of fire damage and be unable to make movement or take any actions (including casting spells) for their next two posts. This spell can only be used once per topic and cannot be used against Player Characters (unless permission is given). - Offensive Action: Astrid attacks 3 times with Cyran’s Haunting Blade, empowered by Lee’s Battle Cry and his spirits’ elemental buffs (if they’re active). Lightning on her weapon ignores resistance/immunity due to Spellblade. Lightning, ice, heavy warhammer.
A technique best utilized by fighters who have honed their speed and precision to deliver quick, deep incisions in a target’s vulnerable spots. When a fighter uses this technique, their speed allows them to deliver a whirlwind of attacks that deal double the damage of normal attacks. Within the time it takes to make one attack, you are able to deliver three attacks that all deal double damage. At the end of this strike (regardless if the attacks hit or not) You use your speed and agility to disengage from the enemy, allowing you to retreat without your opponent being able to attack you as you flee. This can be used twice per topic. - Persistent effect: Howling Gale (Defensive)
Your mastery has become so pervasive that you are like a maelstrom, able to create a tornado like effect that encircles you beginning at ten feet from your body and going out another five feet from there. The harsh winds buffet and slice at any you deem an enemy while being completely harmless to yourself and allies. You can see through the effect but others cannot, and it automatically blocks any sky domain or ranged weapon attacks that are used against you, while speeding up those same spells and attacks that you and your allies use. Minion/Pet Actions:- Dancing Chain takes 1 blow for Astrid from the explosion. Begin 3 post cooldown.
- Buttfellow is combat inert until activated again.

The fellblood plummeted into the ground with a devastating thud. Their vision grew hazy as the impact offered a couple shattered bones and a major concussion. Cebu flew out, angrily smacking Ube with her fins for the choices their battered friend made. The anger soon wore off as she noticed they were drifting in and out of consciousness due to the fall. Cebu looked around, filling with worry before hearing a loud shout from across the battlefield. She watched as the calling-out drake shifted its form, others gathering around her. Without second thought, Cebu dug her tiny body under the fellblood, defying all logic, and picking them up off the ground towards the stranger.
As the light magic gathered around the wounded, Ube sat up, fully awake. They could feel their broken bones repairing as Cebu flew circles happily around the group. Looking towards their healer, Ube moved their hand up to their chin and motioned it towards Taki, signing "Thank you.".
Standing up, they gazed at the god's new form. Unlike their last set of choices, Ube figured to play it smarter this time. They were a close quarters fighter but with the different form came more questions of its capabilities. Best not to approach, at least for now. Instead, Ube looked over the area around them, eyeing an earth elemental attempting to knock off a horse-rider. 1Reflexively, they pointed a finger gun of charged pink sparks and fired it off towards the obsidian creation.
Ube and Cebu have moved to the RIGHT FLANK Unsure of how much Ube has healed from Taki.

The continued cracking of the dragon's hide sounds like music to Flint's ears, they were almost done they just had to do the final push and then everyone can go home. Then for once a silence blanketed the battlefield, as the beast seemed to be falling apart. Flint almost jumped off of Kalaf as he saw the remnants of light dim from the dragon "Holy Shit we did it-" his cheer was cut short as the hair on the back of his neck stood on edge. Something was wrong, something was very wrong. The silence didn't mean that they were victorious, it meant that something big was coming; the calm before the storm.
Nothing could've prepared the cowboy for what would happen next, he and everyone else was in the radius of a star's birth. Before he could even hear the detonation his vision suddenly went white and a heat more intense than he had every felt in his entire life blasted into him. He let out a pained scream yet he couldn't hear anything over the rumbling of the explosion, and he genuinely though this was it for it. His breath quickened as he fought to stay conscious, until he grit his teeth and forced himself to sit up. He felt like he should be dead but the fire inside him burned brighter than the fire around him so he persisted. He finally took a deep breath as he felt a healing touch from Kamille "Thank you kindly Miss Kamille, I owe you" he said with his telltale smirk. 1Noticing that she also took the brunt of the explosion he placed a hand on her shoulder and a soothing light transferred into her "There we go, good as new". Then he noticed the breeze on his torso as the front part of his short was essentially nonexistent, he let out an annoyed sigh knowing he would have to buy a new one later.
Once he fully came back to his sense he eyes narrowed in confusion felt the black scales beneath him, he should be falling. To add to his confusion he looked further down to see ... grass on the volcano? "what in the hell?" his eyes then traced there way up to the vaguely dragon shaped light being floating above the husk of the actual dragon. "well shit, we ain't done" He joked as he stood up and 2made a spear of light to huck at the plasma being. This one wasn't throw like last time as his muscles were sore from the tanking an explosion, yet he ignored the aches and tossed it anyways.
Summary: Flint takes the full brunt of the explosion but thanks to the slipstream bridle he wasn't flung off. After taking a couple seconds to get the wind back into him he heals Kamille with major healing. Upon seeing the floating vaguely dragon shaped plasma being he decides to take a pot shot at it with purity bolt at it just to see what happens.

Javal smiled and yelled, “Yes, yes, We did it, it's dying I’m pretty sure” as he heard the dragon rumble and its skin crack.
Before suddenly getting launched into the air from the Dragon’s explosion he flew into the air, “Oh heavens it appears the Dragon has only gotten stronger".
He felt his faulds burn up and break and fall into the ground quickly below, as well as his Pauldrons and Gauntlets breaking and falling to the ground.
“Dammit, I gotta fight harder”, he says gritting his teeth he then spots his dear friend Arashi flying into the air lifeless.
“Now this can’t happen! I won’t let it, not on my watch”, he shouts, focusing his attention on grabbing his friend. He shifts his weight and flips around facing the ground below falling quickly aiming to catch Arashi.
He grabs the dead samurai by the hand and hoists him onto his back as he falls, “It’ll be alright Arashi just hold on”, he then looks around as he’s falling looking for any signs of help or his knees as well as legs in general would most likely break on impact to the ground.
He then suddenly feels someone catch him and Arashi under him, it’s Kalaf and Kamille they managed to catch the duo and are now at Shitakibo’s healing aura.
He tears up a little seeing his friend return to life, and feels his body refresh curing his weariness.
He then alongside Kamille heads back to the dragon.
As they near it Javal opens his mouth wide and sends a cone of ice breath (1), he then gathers water magic in the air surrounding himself with a circle of water (2) he then charges it for a second and sends it straight at Vulcadreus.
Nadia grunts as she is hit by the explosive she knocks over to the side of the flying rug reeling in pain.
“Crap, I gotta get you to healing”, Meryl says as she takes control of the flying rug, she then zooms to Shitakibo hearing the cries for her to be able to heal.
Nadia then recovered and smirked, “Thank you”, and then the duo returned to the battlefield to the left flank. Nadia charges another arrow of light as she releases the ray bow shooting at Vulcadreus's right eye.
Caspian shrieks in pain as he falls into Shimmer’s back, the dragonfly cries in pain but holds strong, wanting to heal it and its friend both. It struggles to make it but it lands roughly near Shitakibo’s healing area.
Feeling refreshed as Caspian returns to normal he bows at Shitakibo and he and Shimmer take flight once more. They zoom to the right flank and Caspian fires another shot of Ice Spike at Vulcadreus’s eye.
Summary: Javal catches Arashi hitches ride from Kamille heads to Shitakibo's healing area, flies back with Kamille uses Ice Drake Gland frost breath and smashing wave at Vulcdreaus. Nadia gets healed up meryl zooms them with flying rug to left flank Nadia fires ray bow at vulc's right eye. Caspian and shimmer gets healed head then to right flank fires ice spike at Vulc's left eye.

Something something something something
Sumary: Everyone takes the damage, but Secure saddle and Slipstream briddle avoids them all flying off of Kalaf. Kamille uses Massive healing on Flint (action 1) and Massive healing on Kalaf (action 2). They fly off away from the plasma dragon and Kalaf attempts a breath attack before they all turn to grab Javal and Arashi, taking them all close to Taki to be healed.

Post by Vail on Sept 3, 2023 12:44:19 GMT -5
The radiant heat of the beast’s flesh is impossible to ignore as Vail’s extended hand presses against the dragon’s eyelid. As he bashes the glass exterior of the massive eye, the gauntlets adorning hands begin to crumble. His efforts are not fruitless however, as the brightness of his reflection begins to dissipate, leaving only a pitch black void in its place.
The darkness almost distracts him from the more pressing change in his adversary. The heat that destroyed his gauntlets has dissipated, leaving behind a cold stillness that elicited yet another reaction from him. It was a confusing sensation, an involuntary reaction seemed especially foreign to one who never had a mortal form to begin with. Before he can fully process the feeling, the dragon's body explodes, launching Vail away and embedding chunks of rock into his flesh.
Vail plummets for a short while, his mind distracted by the possibilities presented by the dragon's reaction. He and the rest of the adventurers had put in a lot of effort, but there was no way a colossus like this was even close to dead. The feeling of light hitting his eyes brings him back to reality and quickly adjusts himself in midair using his wings. An excited expression adorns the man's face as the sun begins to shine down, replacing the ash filled sky. He gazes upon his adversary's new form as a tremendous smile creeps upon his face.
That’s it, no more hiding, radiance in your so-called perfection, reveal yourself!
He flies forward, eager to re-engage the adventurers' collective foe. A light runs across his body[1], but does nothing to heal the damage already dealt to him. There is a slight moment of hesitation in his flight as he looks upon the burns and chunks of rock embedded in his body. Regret is yet another foreign feeling to his guest, but still draws forth some thoughts, even if their intended destination is ultimately never reached.
I know you can’t hear me right now, but I’m going to need a bit more, I don’t know what lies ahead. I know you never asked for any of this but… sorry.
Another light begins to envelop him, this time wrapping around his arms[2], as he charges back towards his adversary. His eyes stare unwaveringly at the beast, ready to bring a swift end to the destruction aspect of this so-called rebirth.
Summary: Vail activates Art of Soul trance and uses his last of Resist the Elements on himself. He then flies back towards the dragon because he is cautiously reckless. - LEFT FLANK
Buff actions: [1] Casts Resist the Elements on himself- Fire [2] Actives Art of Soul trance
Active effects: [2/3] Divine Ascent [1/2] Soft Body
Active passives: Controlled Immunity - poison/toxic reductionDivine Ascent - Immense amount of light being produced by the wings.

Post by Delaela Fenastra-Asiliari on Sept 3, 2023 15:46:56 GMT -5
It's a cacophany of things happening around her all at once. Cyran's voice, somewhere far above, a denial of the the impending flood of lava, his voice shattering more of the scales. She feels his fury, his anguish. His doubt. That particular feeling makes her gasp, pained that he should be so uncertain of himself right now that he would think she would not keep her word to him. How was he so hurt? What in the world was going on? There isn't time to address it, not yet. They have a god to fell, and a home to go back to, and she will not be stopped by any one, man, monster, or deity. With a roar, Del can feel her fist strike home, bowing and bending the crusty, metal-like scales of the creature's back with exceptional violence, joined in that moment of impact by countless others, all one after the other. The creature grows suddenly, terribly cold, and falls still, slumped on its knees. This, however, did not feel like victory. Before she can call out to any one who might be nearby, an instant later, something cracks against her skull, her skin of her arms is burnt up to their elbows, and the world shifts again. Falling was a familiar feeling, at least. As she is ejected from the back of the God as it sheds its outer shell, a hint of gold flickers across the bridge of her nose. She plummets, gaining momentum, her mind lurching to a moment she couldn't remember until now, jarred loose in the explosion. A sky slate gray with cold in early spring surrounds her as she falls, screaming a scream that doesn't seem to have a beginning or an end. Above her, closing rapidly, a void, a doorway of shadow that should not have opened. Earth. Sky. Earth. Sky. Stone, the cracking of her bones as she strikes the cliffside, once, twice, again, again.
She hits the river--
Cyran's arms secure around her, carrying her aloft as he tackles her in the sky. Del inhales sharply, as though she had just remembered to breathe, hugging him back fiercely. He had come for her. She knew he would. "I've got you," she whispers in a rush, even though she was the one being saved, the one plucked out of the sky mid-fall by her fiance. She closes her eyes and squeezes them as they fall, descent slowed by Cyran's wings. Her heart could burst in this moment, full of things she did not have time for, not while the world and their very lives were at stake. But she feels them regardless, pulsing with light as little gold petals stream out of her hair as they fall. "I've got you."The ground rushes up to meet them and they strike with force, Cyran taking the brunt of the impact-- or he should have. Something seems to slow their fall even further preventing them from striking the ground fully even at their speed of descent. The sensation of something, some one else familiar passes by. "Cyran! Gods, that was close, are you alright?" she asks in a rush, panicked, blood staining her forehead where she was struck. She pays it no mind, touching Cyran's face as gingerly as she can. Scared, deeply scared for him.
Even as she asks the question-- she knows he is not.
But she refuses to give in to that despair. Looking back at the god, she witnesses the transformation, their ascendence to the heavens, the sudden brust of sunlight across the formerly ash and smoke darkened sky. The ground erupts with vegetation and life that the scarred land had not beheld in millenia, bursting at the seams. This, here before them, resplendet and awe=-inspiriing, was the true god of the sun. It was beautiful. It was... terrifying in the way that life was able to simply burst forth like this. Would they even be able to defeat this god in any meaningful way? ...did they need to? It was strange. It... wasn't attacking anyone at this point. Not yet, at least, the featureless giant just beginning to get its bearings as it shattered its shell. It gave her a terrible sense of dread. A sensation that this creature should not be touched by anyone physically, if they could prevent it. If it could change the barren landscape of the world, what could that much life-giving energy do to a person?
A familiar voice reaches her ears, and she turns to see Leandros, alive, well, and ready to continue. She feels-- better? Better. Very quickly, the aching wounds and the burns revert, leaving an itching sensation of healing behind. Del gives Leandros a smile. "Thank you, my friend. I hope I can return the favour." she looks to Cyran, smiling grimly at his question. "Up. We're not out yet, and they need us. We can do this." she puts her arms around his waist and thinks... hoping she has something. Can do something. "I... wait a moment." she pauses, feeling... odd, just then. The flickers of gold on her nose spark and fizzle as something surges through her. It's familiar. It's painful-- it is her. She takes a slow breath in, and she feels heat rush forward. Instinctually, she knows what it is, this gold energy that is suffusing her and becoming red hot. "Thistle," she rasps, as the pixie flits out of her hair, a little jostled by everything going on, focusing on the molten energy coming from her, forcing it to take shape, be real. The faceless pixie rises higher and sprinklles their dust on the moving energy, shaping and carving it to transform the power of her very soul into... a kite. A large kite, made of wood, with hand holds they can both hang onto and glide from. It could not fly, by any means, but it would be enough to gain enough lift to assist Cyran as they soared upwards, and help them glide back down.
Gasping, she looks at the wide object in her hands, feeling exceptionally drained-- and hopeful. "I... don't know how I did that, but we don't have time to worry." Turning to Cyran, she smiles, holding on to him. "Let's go." Up they fly, up towards the aloft Vulcadreus. They needed some way to bring it down to the ground for the others, some way to make the surface of the thing, currently too bright to look at, easier to touch. Digging through her pocket, she takes out a candy from her pocket, chewing it with a wince, as she holds out her hand towards the molten, barely reconstituted body of Vulcadreus. Despite this, she feels a strange kinship to the dragon. Perhaps part of it is her vocation as a smith... but the other part, the part that ached with the memory of her fall, understood the pain of being reborn, the pain of being new. The pain of being broken down and put back together.
Her eyes narrow for a second at the formless god as it flew in the sky, as she held on to the creation of very soul. Reshaped. The back of her neck prickles in familiarity, the word crucible coming to mind.
"Let's see if this works," As Del turns her hand in the air, a tornado emerges, seeking out the wings of fire in an attempt to snuff one of them, and bring it back to the ground. There isn't time to do more, to try out her other ideas; shadow might dampen and snuff it, but there was no way to know that yet, but for now, this could be enough. If this was the god of rebirth, reborn itself...
Perhaps they could have a hand in how it shaped itself.
Summary: Del and Cyran Fenastra-Asiliari fly up to Vulcadreus after being Healed by Leandros Aurthurian to try and down the dragons firey wings with a burst of air from the tornado. Del uses Hand of the Crucible to ensure she and Cyran are able to land again once his wings go out, or at least let them glide for the next post. In a matter of seconds everything stops. Light, heat, and silence. … For a moment the world is gone; there’s nothing but the sound of ringing. …ke…
A voice is only distantly acknowledged in the utter void of lack of consciousness. Wake up!
He struggles, but his sight starts to return. It’s a blur. A shadow vanishes next to him. His hearing does not return nearly as fast, dominated instead only by white noise after the explosion. Distant sounds warble around him as if he were underwater; the chaos coagulates into a cacophony of senseless sound. His cloak whips against burns on his neck and shoulders but he’s too overwhelmed to truly process the pain that comes of it. After a split second of adjusting blurry eyes against the world around him, he realizes he’s in a free-fall. The ground is swiftly approaching; and a mixture of emotional and physical exhaustion delays his ability to react properly. Pale lashes fluttering in a daze, Caedes reaches towards the earth, but he fails to find his shadow in the chaos and the twisted kaleidoscope that is his vision; he fails to connect with it in a way that could have been meaningful. Caedes explodes into a swath of dark shadow as he hits the ground without slowing down. (ACTION: Demon of the Mist)
Once again, there is silence. The cloud of darkness disperses for a moment, before it begins to swath together; quickly, it darts towards the nearest shadow; a long shadow cast across the battlefield as the sunlight mingles with Plasmadreus. (PASSIVE: One With the Shadows) It vanishes within the darkness; and as the clouds cover the sun behind the massive dragon, Caedes staggers out. Shadows falls from around his figure, hitting the ground and dissipating against the cooling obsidian. He pushes back frayed locks of white hair, chest heaving in a hopeless attempt to feel the breath in his lungs as he frantically glances around the battlefield; he can feel the pull of the dark elemental still on the field— injured, but determined to chase the god. But he also sees Askr, and the elemental he’s charging towards. He interrupts the redirection of the elemental, which had spiraled down with him in the free-fall.
No!
What?
I am not losing Askr to this fucking thing. Go.
Mid-air, the shadow stops for just a moment— it has no face, but the voice in his mind seems seemingly surprised by a command; and when Caedes makes a sharp gesture towards Askr and the elemental, it hesitates. There’s a brief, exasperated sound that echoes in the back of his mind similar to a growl; but as Caedes gathers himself enough to limp towards a gathering of other adventurers, the taste of iron prominent on his tongue, the dark elemental zooms past him. Caedes took a little chomp out of Allan’s neck. He was really sad and edgy because Juice Boxius wasn’t here to deliver the spicy blood. He brooded broodily in the corner and then did things. (ACTION: Minor Vampiric Healing.) But meanwhile, while he’s being edgy and vampiric and shit, the elemental gathers itself together; casting in tandem with an adventurer nearby, a chaos bolt at the elemental attempting to harm Askr. (ACTION: Chaos Bolt)

Some at the inner circles of society might call it fortunate to be caught on the outskirts of this fight.
It is a lucky thing for some to be out of the crossfire of flame and brimstone, out of melee range with a raging god, kept safely away from the harshest bites of flame and magma, only gently touched by ash and smoke. It is a lucky thing not to worry about claws and teeth forged on the anvil of the divine, a lucky thing not to have to worry about catching the searing-gold eye of something sewn into earth and sky, a lucky thing to not know the fear that comes with letting the end and beginning stare you down. It is lucky to be further out, lucky to be here putting his meager displays of capabilities to use, lucky to be tangled in skirmishes with lesser creatures, with other pawns of other gods, unable to make things any worse.
And yet, Askr cannot bring himself to fully feel fortunate. It is not easy to feel that way when scale and carapace fall apart in a blast of light and fire, sending countless painfully familiar silhouettes crashing down from the sky like bitter snow, rending flesh and searing bodies when it barely touches Askr.
His ears ring. He thinks his life may flash before his eyes-- waiting, fighting, waiting, a hand in his, waiting, the letter from earlier still tucked somewhere in his vest, waiting, waiting, waiting-- but it is hardly much of a life at all. He processes Eik's segmented form rising, steel and chain curling to form a shield in front of him, staving off the brunt of the blast-- he processes the chaos on the field, the pained sounds of the horse beneath him, the new cycle they've all stepped into.
Oh. He is unharmed, but he is only one of few.
Sir Leandros is going to be so upset.
"...I am sorry," he says mechanically, gloved hands trembling just so as they settle against the warhorse's soot-stained coat, his voice as flat as ever and yet fragile all the same, as if he can barely bear to speak. "I... am sorry."
Askr is careful, if wobbly, as he slips off of Byrr's side, ensuring he doesn't brush against any of the burn wounds, doesn't disrupt the equipment likely lovingly laid there by Sir Leandros himself. There is that strange tightness taking root in his chest again, a stranglehold against the glass organ trapped in his ribs, but this one is decidedly Wrong; this one aches, burrows deep beneath his synthetic bones and makes a home wherever it can, its cold hisses resonant throughout the hollows of his body. He gives Byrr, who, despite the major injuries marring its side, remains strangely resilient, as if it could keep going, one last pat to his head before gently nudging him in the general direction of away-- anywhere the God won't touch.
"Go on," he says. "Go."
And Byrr does, and Askr is left on his own to wonder how he can even begin to apologize to Sir Leandros. There is no way he would ever imagine trying to deny his responsibility in this, try to worm out of the consequences, try to keep it secret; he will face whatever anger the great knight holds for him, whatever punishment or disappointment he feels has been earned. It's only natural.
He is so caught up in that strange, uncomfortable feeling in his chest that he almost doesn't notice the earth elemental's hulking form closing in on him--
but then there's a surge of pink sparks from one side crashing into the creature, and a crackling pulse of shadow on the other, and it's enough to startle Askr right back into reality.
He swivels to face the source of the pink flash, noticing an unfamiliar fellblood with traces of pink smoke rising from their finger-- he's quick to dip into a brief, grateful bow, making eye contact for all of a moment, before trying to find the source of the other. From what he can gauge, it's a strange, smokey shadow of a thing, gentle wisps of dark energy billowing off of it still-- another elemental summon, he thinks, but... docile. Toward him, at least. He glances around, searching for the source of that, only to catch the sight of familiar pale skin and dark clothes--
Mister Caedes.
He is... okay. In one piece. Biting a man, but that's alright-- he is alive. That is what matters.
That pain in Askr's chest does not leave, but some relief floods through him at the knowledge that Mister Caedes survived the brunt of the blast-- that even like this, wounded and struggling to manage, the other man is trying to protect him despite being under no obligation to, like a pretty, self-assured swan taking a clumsy duckling beneath its graceful wing, a human taking a fledgling bird from the earth and mending its hollow bones.
Askr selfishly wants this to be over. Askr selfishly wants to crawl into Mister Caedes's arms.
But still, he cannot-- he lifts Yggdrasil once more, directing it up with a trembling hand until it launches itself at the strange new form of the god Vulcadreus, making two quick slashes in succession, trying to deal whatever damage it can, dent or scratch or fracture, just so this can all be over.
When this is all over, he can go home.
Summary: Askr goes through it emotionally, sends Byrr off to escape the Hell Zone, and yeets his sword at Vulcadreus.
1. Askr launches Telekinesis-Yggdrasil at Vulcadreus and slashes it once. (Offensive Action)
2. Yggdrasil goes in for another slash. (Offensive Action)

The explosion was painful. I should invest in something to make me fireproof, especially when I'm friends with Ulmiyda. Yeah, I made sure to note that as the support of Bstrid disappeared. It stunned me for a second before I started to fall. That freedom of air rushed around me before I saw the land slowly getting closer. I noticed the lack of lava and fire, heck, the dark soil the emos here loved so much was now covered in plants. Curled up to speed myself up before widening at the last moment to lightly land on my feet. Looking up to see Nit, who had kept himself wide to slow momentum, I focused on his clothes to slow him down as he touched the ground. "Well," He looks up. "At least it doesn't have those scales now." I glance at Rosemary, "You can do that if you think it would work with me do," I pause as others around me do it, "Well, that." I point to the ice chains. The little blue fairy may only be six inches, but her excitement to help was huge. With a quick flourish of hands, she giggles, "Leave it to me!" She claps her hands together and opens them together like a tube. Out of it flows a bubble that quickly gets bigger. It quickly surrounds me and then condenses around my form. I smile at her as I feel the cool brush of water magic around me, "Thanks." I flick my wrist and point at the dragon. "Wow, how the mighty shall fall from the sky." I grinned as the chains of what could be fire and earth shifted through the fae magic to ones of water. Nit looked around at the others as he saw the groups heading together. "Keyke, let's get patched up." He shook me shoulder lightly as he pointed to Taki. With a smile, I nodded as I reached out to Rose. "Just hold on; you need to rest." She could only lightly nod and land on my hand before curling up in exhaustion. Nit reaches down, I give him his little buddy back, and he hides her in his collar again. Once she was taken care of, we rushed to Taki, me skating along the ground, Nit applying mold earth at each step to perfect the ground to boost his step. Outside of our group, Fin wasn't doing much, honestly, for as much as he teases me and Nit for being nerds about magic. It was convenient against a literal god! He glances at the burns he gained from the blast before looking at the animals around him. He quickly shifted to see Keyke fall safely, also her saving his brother. With a click of his tongue, Fin quickly helped Taki, who was showing to toll of doing such strong magic, as grabbed he shoulder, "Lean on me." He glances down at her before flicking his sword around. "I may not have magic, but I can at least help such a close friend of Keyke." He nods to the person rushing her way over here after; yep, she decided to chain up the god in his primordial form. He could only sigh at the wonders of what she could have done while gone to learn something like that. Carminda, who was trying to help enclose the crowd, landed on Taki's other side and giving her a light nuzzle in her neck.
