Maybe she pushed too much. Maybe she was just a little too forward about her opinion. After all, she's just a child. What does she really know? Having only lived twelve-ish years, Astrid has half as much experience as most adults if not less. The last few months taught her a lot, but still, she doesn't have the tact or wisdom of someone twice her age. How could she?
But she did spend five years waiting around for someone who might never come back. Five years of asking around, trying to find some help, looking for something to do or someone to love her. Before that time, Astrid thought she knew what love was, but what she saw in other families, in couples walking by with their hands intertwined, she'd never experienced looks or adoration like that. For the longest time, she was in denial about her situation. She told herself that mothers loved their children unconditionally and that if she just waited a little longer, she'd see her mother again.
It was only after she experienced true kindness from a stranger and felt the embrace of someone who truly cares for her for the first time that Astrid realized what love actually looks and feels like. Cantio's taught her that well.
So to see these two vehemently denying that shit is kind of frustrating. Nothing she can do about it, so she shrugs.
"Well, alright," she says. "Ya really should rest. I'm gonna take ya up on that offer ta teach me some stuff. I'll be back in... I dunno, soon if I don't have nothin' else goin' on. I wanna learn more about yer alchemy stuff!" She almost -albeit jokingly- says that she'll make them a love potion. Today, she's pushed her luck enough with them both. "Glad I was able ta help ya get home. See ya later, Mister Kvasir. Morrigan."
With that, Astrid makes her way downstairs and back to her two awaiting companions. "They're weird," she mumbles before heading off to find an easy way home and out of this gods-awful heat.
