"I'm Kamille, nice to meet you! And this thing here goes by Mischief. "

Kamille shook Mariana's hand, offering her a smile. Mischief was clearly a rather smart bird, looking straight into Mariana's eyes when she said her name. Soon enough though, Mischief was called by name, and he flew over to where Sarne was, looking him intently as if searching for someone. Last time he saw Sarne, he gave him jerky, if he remembered it right.

"CAWW! Sarne!"

Kamille waved to back Beist, as well as to Sarne. Then, she smiled at Elrodan.

"Looks like we keep bumping into each other, right Elrodan? Never expected to meet you here. And you too, Sarne."

She didn’t mention Beist because he looked a bit uncomfortable, but offered him a reassuring smile. Kamille turned to Mariana.

"Is this your first time here too? Or do you know this place already? I couldn’t leave the area without seeing this place for once, at least. I spent the whole day collecting herbs around here - it felt like a good way of finishing the day."

Sarne smiled at Mischief "OK, Mischief I don't have anything on me as you can see just got a towel. But if you are good I will give you something special later." said Sarne wondering if Mischief even understood him.

The group seems lively and now starting to see the appeal of the bathhouse as he thinks they called it. Sarne thought maybe he should get one at Stone Keep. It would be nice to have one like this.

Sarne looked back at Kamille. "Madam Kamille It is always a pleasure to see you I don't see you around here in these parts of the city." said Sarne curious about what his friend was doing in the city.

Beist looked at Elrodan with a slightly sad smile.



"It's not something I'd like to talk about while trying to relax in a hot bath. And I have no tales of heroic deeds or anything of the sort. I'm just a simple alchemist, not a hero" he said before turning to Kamille.

"May I ask what types of herbs you found around here? I'm not very familiar with the area and would love to know. Is there anything interesting? I have read a small amount on some mushrooms that are able to grow in such a cold climate that might be useful for a potion to help one resist the cold in a similar way. I wonder how they do it. Do you think they are able to produce heat somehow? Mushrooms normally prefer cool, damp environments. I'd be very interested to see a mushroom that actually produces heat. Or a mushroom that prefers a hot environment. Perhaps I should look for something similar? Maybe Zeinav Desert. Oh, I'd also be very interested in other plants from the desert. Have you hear of cacti? They actually store large amounts of water inside them to help them survive the dryness of the desert. How fascinating! I wonder...."

Beist continued on his rambling about different plants, going on various tangents that had nothing to do with his original questions. He eventually looked completely lost in thought while stroking his beard, appearing more like he was simply thinking out loud instead of actually trying to hold a conversation with anyone.

Mariana was about to answer the woman's question so she could ask more about her pet, Mischief, when two other patrons sparked up conversations with her as well. This Kamille was certainly popular, perhaps she should bring a pet of her own new time... 

Not one to be outdone, or ignored, Mariana raised a hand to the beastly man indicating he should wait his turn. She also moved between the noble looking fellow and Kamille, ignoring him for the moment. 

"It is my first time, I never expected the customers to be so unique and interesting. You seem to be quite well known amongst them despite this being your first time." She raised her brows and gave a suggestive smile.

She then moved from Kamille and towards the pool's edge, allowing the men to vie for her attention once more. She decided instead to move towards the dwarf that had called her out earlier.

Coming to Riggs' side Mariana relaxed into a seated position and stretched her arms behind her head onto the pool's edge.

"I wonder, am I only one here who doesn't already know most everyone else? Or are you as lost as I am among this crowd?" 
She said it with slight hesitation, hoping the dwarf would have forgiven her earlier rudeness.

Rigg's sighed as they handed over the brush to Elrodan. Were the baths this busy all the time? They haven't really been in so long... maybe assuming they would be relaxing was their fault. 

"Nice to meet you Kamille. Hyallrigg. Or Riggs if you like." They settled back against the edge of the pool letting the Fairy brush or not as he pleased. Then Riggs blinked up at Mariana for a moment realizing they were being addressed by the one who just... jumped into the hot water like it was the biggest river she'd ever seen. It was a little impressive... even if it was a bit much. 

"Honestly I'm mostly just a local... Didn't know today was tourists from all over Charon day." Riggs looked sheepish for a moment and then stuck a hand out of the water towards the woman for a handshake. "Riggs... by the way. And you are Mariana? Since more people here seem to know you than me... I'm just a hunter... here for a soak is all." 

It was uncommon for anything to make Kamille shy, but indeed she flashed a sheepish smile at Mariana's words. Before she could answer anything, she went to stand next to the dwarf. She went over her to shake her hand.

"Nice to meet you... Riggs, if you don't mind."

"CAWWWWW"

Mischief seemed to be getting angry, so she approached where he was to shoo him away. He looked angrily at Sarne, his wings open, cawing furiously.

"Don't be a child, Mischief. Only because he gave you something last time, it doesn't mean he needs to do it everytime. Sorry about that, Sarne. It's been a long day. Like I said, I've been looking for some herbs..."

Then she turned to Beist, her eyes lighting up as he started to speak about mushrooms and cacti.

"There are few things that resist this cold weather, and everything grows slower too. But there are some places around here where you can find a kind of white orchid that the locals call Winter Queen. It grows atop some trees - it is very beautiful, but also extremely difficult to find. And yes, I've been to Zeinav to collect some cacti before... They have some interesting documented properties. Whatever you do, never drink the water from a cacti. It usually have some active principles that may bring you hallucinations and fever dreams. Have you been to Zeinav before? I can show you where to find it."

Elrodan sat on the edge listening to the other tell their tales or rather make idle conversation while he brushed through Rigg's hair. He started to think on his own thoughts, maybe if he'd have known that he'd bump into Mischief that he would have found something too. If it had been warmer or at all likely, he could fly off to see if there was a fruit tree near by. His mind then straying to Mischief and what the bird would eat. Such was his concentration on this, he didn't really notice that the brush had found a small tangle and had stopped mid stroke, possibly luckily for Riggs, he had naturally stopped trying to brush and so not pulled hard.

White flower... Winter Queen... on top of a tree... Had he seen those or was it just snow? He kept brushing until he felt happy enough that the hair was tangle free, then just using his fingers to run through it, he slowly started taking sections and put them into thin plats.

Riggs gave Kamille a grin as they shook her hand firmly. They made sure not to knock over the little fairy as he brushed. Which was... more soothing than Riggs had thought it could be. Even with the little tangle caught that made Riggs realize that they probably weren't brushing the best on the road it was nice. 

You would have to imagine a fairy did a good job of it too right? being so little. And Hjallrigg couldn't help the little smile on their face when they felt the small hands absentmindedly braiding after the brush stopped.  

"I've seen those cacti before I think... And Winter's Queen grows better to the west of the mountain. A little less wind there to knock them over so they can grow pretty... or at least a bit less difficult to find if you can get them before the other animals. The bigger birds like to snatch at them." Riggs let their eyes close a little enjoying their hair being done and the warm water... better make sure not to fall asleep. "I've shot down a few of the birds and seen a few crushed flowers like that."

"Elrodan, if fall asleep make sure I don't fall in... you are actually really good at that."

"Oh, yes, I've heard a story about the cactus juice. A man drank some out of desperation, along with a pet of his. His group had been travelling through the desert and had their mount stolen, so the trip back out was much more daunting than they'd first believed it would be. They ran out of water, so the man tried drinking the cactus juice. Practically lost his mind for the few days they were stuck under the scorching sun, seeing hallucinations and acting strange. They made a play about that group's travels, but I'm not sure that scene was included. I haven't seen the show myself. Anyways, I wonder if that cactus juice might be useful in alchemy. If nothing else, it might be usable as a hallucinogen. I'd be happy to go on a trip into the desert with you to find some interesting ingredients if you'd have me. Though I must admit, I'm not fond of such hot climates. The fur, you know..." Beist rambled to Kamille happily, looking a little embarrassed when talking about his fur which was a very prominent feature of his body. His ears flattened against his head and his cheeks grew a smidge darker of a greyish blue with a blush. He was always embarrassed when talking about the beastly features of his body, since it was the result of a huge mistake of his.
